Not sure quite why the Spurs fans arguing for the most money that Levy can extract from the deal, when history clearly shows that such money is not re-invested back into the team. How do they benefit when their best players are sold without proper re-investment ?

Villa have used the money from the sale of Grealish to try and improve the team, whereas Levy will not do likewise.

Spurs fans enjoy " moral victory " , whilst Levy and owner enjoy more money into their personal accounts.

Kane will almost certainly score 25 to 30 goals this season, whoever he plays for.
We don't currently have a striker who we could say the same about. As matters stand, we're pretty much relying on Gundogan to repeat his feat of last season, and hoping that Raheem will get his shooting boots back on target.

We need Kane. We have to get him this window.

I hope we are not just getting obsessed with having Kane at any price & because no other options are on the table now. The fee is getting a bit silly. If Kane fails for us or gets injured often we are screwed for 2 seasons at least.

Messi, Haaland, Mbappe would all cost well in excess of £150m if we wanted to sign them today. Regardless of their fee, age etc, they could all 'fail' or suffer serious injury and screw their clubs for the next two or three seasons.
It's the nature of the game.

Harry Kane is the only top class striker that City are interested in, he's the best in the PL by a long chalk. He's under contract at Spurs so we have to pay what they feel is acceptable to get him.

As with any transfer, at the end of the day, whatever we pay will be the right fee.

Because footballers have hundreds of different sponsorship, appearances and what have you, and their 10 years of focusing on how to pass doesn't make them good at that or negotiating with massive corporations like football clubs are?
