Nothing wrong with wanting, hoping a player signs.
Go through the first page of the transfer thread, 99% of the players aren’t signing either, roughly 70% of them aren’t good enough for starters.
Doesn’t stop people wanting them, discussing them.
Maybe it’s because Haaland is up against Kane that’s the problem.

Yes ,but we aren't still constantly posting about those 99% we know aren't coming now.Just the one really.

Not really much in this thread, it only perked up after he ripped it up at the weekend.
Then you see comments in the Kane thread like “I prefer Haaland”, nothing wrong with people preferring him, wanting him, it’s their opinions, but it’s usually followed by “ffs how many times he’s not signing” which only drags his name on for longer.
If people didn’t feel the need to jump down people’s throats for wanting Haaland his name would be mentioned a lot less.
 
All this f*nnying about with kane should just put in a big offer for Haaland now, £150 mil, otherwise we are gonna be without a top striker again for another season!

Ah right, didn’t release that’s what happened with Chelsea. Tbf I knew it would be a long shot this late in the window.

If we can’t get kane this window, I’d prefer us to sign a more experienced striker that’s decent for a low fee this season, as we create so many chances even an average striker should score a decent amount. Then we can go all out and get haaland next season.

Surely they can’t afford that, the signing on fees/agents fees/wages will be sky high for both players - on top of the Haaland release clause.

Mbappe > Madrid
Haaland > Bayern

They can definitely afford both, they have been selling players off now for 18months. They have made close to 300mill in player sales alone. Then the wages they are saving not having Ramos and Verane is probably worth a few quid.

They obviously have been restricted this year by la liga on spending due to last years revenue being so low. With fans back and tourism I suspect they will be throwing money around next summer.

And I don’t blame them. With Barca being a mess they have the chance to blow the league out of the water.
