Harry Kane

Or maybe City called his bluff and told Levy and Kane there was no more offers coming. At that point if you were Kane and Levy would you not issue the statement that Kane did today. I suspect Levy is livid that not only did he not get £150m but he has missed out on £120m.

Having Kane at Spurs isn't the same as us having Kane. At City he would have won thigs in the next three years, I'm pretty confident Kane and Spurs wont win anything this coming season or the next or the one after. They may scrape a 4th spot in one of those seasons. Levy knows this as that's all his job entails trying to get a 4th spot while making as much money as possible. That's why he will be looking at this as a lost opportunity imo.
Not our problem.

It's over, time to move on to better things.

Do you think Levy’s been duped by the two opening wins for Spurs and now thinks they can win the league if he keeps hold of Kane?

If Levy was so good at his job, he should of snapped our fucking hands off, mental money on offer and he blew it.
Yep - this is my view

I expect that he might privately be thinking 'Oh FFS'

He was being offered a huge amount of money for a player of that age - he may well of overstated his own capabilities to screw even more out of CITY - perhaps believing his own press - but the only way for a Kane valuation from this point is down

These new statues better be good.

I voted yes (at the right price) when the poll started but became increasingly concerned about the lack of progress of the “negotiation”. Blagging until the last day of the window - as some posters insisted we would - would have been a big gamble.
Therefore I’m relaxed about the outcome and hope we now draw a line even if he becomes available in January or next summer.

I’d be happy with the galactico OAP solution (despite Ronaldo being a massive prick) if Pep’s willing to manage that situation. It buys time while crucially improving our firepower in the short term.

I wouldn’t be averse to taking a chance on the Serb lad if the club deems him good enough.

If push comes to shove, we’ll live with the false #9 option. I‘m sure it won’t bring last year‘s success but nor is it a disaster.

When Pep said they won’t negotiate I got the feeling that Levy wouldn’t talk until we put in an obscene figure and go from there. That figure didn’t come so no further contact, or offer, was made. We just wouldn’t be dragged through Levy’s fire.

I'm glad he's not coming (read my posts before the announcement). The price was utterly ridiculous. Even the offer of 100 million was madness for a player with no resale value and a terrible injury record. Let's get back down to earth, and if we're going to be offering eyewatering sums, let them be for players of the quality of Haaland and MBappe.
