I still believe Levy never had any intention of selling him and was messing us about from the very beginning. He knew it was impossible to replace what he brought their team in this window and he also knew Kane cares too much about Spurs that he won't down tools or kick up a fuss if he had to stay. Kane will go straight back to giving 100% for them. He held all the cards and it was near impossible to get him.

He will take it as a victory but I think long term it will harm him as every single player they try and sign from this window forward will insist on an iron clad release clause inserted to prevent him from repeating this.

That the sad thing about Levy .he will think he has won which is more than his football club will do ,well done Harry Kane you have accepted mediocrity , where as we will carry on regardless hunting trophies

Tick tock. If they don't get top 4 this season then Spuds will look back on this as a very expensive error of judgement by Levy. £130m for a 28 year old forward was a fantastic deal and I think Levy was stupid not to take that.

I think City realised they were getting nowhere and pulled the plug on the deal now with 6 days of the window left to give them a fighting chance of getting in a top quality alternative

it was only when we pulled out of the deal that Kane realised he had no other alternative to announce his retirement from elite football on Twitter

it City have absolutely no intention of looking elsewhere they would be still fighting for Kane right up to the last minute of the window. Why wouldn’t they? Nothing to lose
