Harry Kane

Some guy posted on here a day or two ago about a physio contact at the club saying Harry had a dodgy knee. It is well known that when your ankle ligaments get torn they are never quite the same again. This then impacts the knee, the hip, which become arthritic. I really would not be surprised if this is the truth of what happened today. A failed medical kept quiet due to patient confidentiality.Something very fishy for Harry to come out with these comments today.
We signed RSC and Jovetic city don’t do medicals

Proper bonkers take that. Laughable to be honest.

For Kane to have a medical the clubs would've had to agreed a fee, and there's no way that would've happened without anyone getting word of it.

Likely we were just never prepared to meet Levy's valuation, and a compromise couldn't be made.

Nobody said he had a medical.

The rumour was it's a well known secret in the physio circles that Kane knee is fucked.

He did. And the club would've known that about his knee for ages though wouldn't they, if true.

Don't see that being the reason the move would suddenly collapse after trying for 2 years. Maybe a reason we wouldn't meet the daft valuations though.

can totally see Kanes new PR team decided to take thing into their hands and put the tweet out for the surprise of both City and Spurs. nothing in this saga will surprise me.

I am sure Levy was ready to still be the main news on deadline day, while City briefed all along we are going with this until last day.

Of course but depends if we think we can get 3 years or so before he's knackered.

The collapse was over the fee, not his injuries.

We need to close this thread and spare us the heart ache. This deal was dead 2 weeks ago sadly
Nah, keep it going until the end of the window. There’s been more laughs on the last 50 pages than the previous 1,000. As a bonus, the chancers have seen their arses and taken time out.

Huh.

Current Goss is that Vlahovic turned Tottenham down. He'd already been rumoured to only want a CL team.

One reading of that is that City, Kane, and Levy might actually have wanted this but not been able to make it work. And that it was mostly Levy's last minute approach to securing a replacement which seems to have backfired.

But like I said, I already heard some time ago that Vlahovic was stipulating CL as a requirement for his transfer. I think Levy wanted him, thought he could get him. I remember Tottenham's crazy manager search ending up at Gattuso, who promptly left Fiorentina, then 'turned down' Tottenham. God knows what lengths Levy and others went to to get Vlahovic to Spurs. But it looks dead. And so, therefore, is Kane.

Seriously tho. There's so much shenanigans going on in this transfer window. We know Mendes is big pals with our lot and of course Nuno/Spurs. He would surely have been involved in lining up Vlahovic as a replacement.

Now maybe he'll pull a rabbit out of the hat. In fact (crazy talk alert) maybe this was a contingency that he was happy with.

It gives Nuno a great chance at a big season with Spurs - and taking Ronaldo to City fucks about with PSG, Real and therefore, Raiola. Who so far have come out heavily on top this window.

Cant blame Levy, if he doesn’t want to sell then you ask for enough to make you want to. If he really told Kane he would let him leave I doubt they talked about for how much. Either way I doubt they will see the best from him this season and he will be off somewhere next summer.

I think people have the wrong idea what a medical is for......Now to be clear I'm not defending the signing of especially RSC, but the role of the medical is to make sure there aren't any undeclared medical conditions, so in the case of RSC the fact he was about to have surgery when he signed was known. I always bring up the example of Asa Hartford who failed his medical at Leeds, but passed the medical at City a couple of years later with the same problem because it was a known condition.

I do think it's plausible that this is the case. It's what happened with Sanchez back in 2017, when Arsenal bid 90m for Lemar at the last minute and he told them he wasn't interested in moving to a side not in the CL.

Didn't we also sign Gundogan while he was about to have a surgery or was not yet fit or something like that?
