I’m not Mr. positive in the slightest but I just cannot see City bottling this one after Messi round 1, khaldoon interview, messi round 2, Kane, and them not killing off the Ronaldo links.Just send them his goal stats surely

the main point the rags and Ronaldo fan boys say in the messi vs ronaldo debate is that he has gone to different leagues and been successful while messi has been at Barca and now gone to the farmers league ( I personally don't think that's a big criteria)

Ego (plus rag heritage) is the biggest worry of Ronald-no posters. So this could be quite interesting if things progress.Seems like this is gathering pace.
A few folks have alluded to the fact Ronaldo will want the number 7. His branding is heavily linked to this, I used to work in the advertising for Nike and all the artwork and boots are plastered with CR7 so they will want the number.
I genuinely think this could cause an issue which sounds crazy.

There's pros and cons to every possible transfer and each individual will have their own thoughts but surely I speak for everyone in here when I say the very very best thing about this possible transfer would be, if he signs, the reaction of 1 rio ferdinand, the wobbly gobbed prick will self combust.

If this goes down, the days of the press killing City are over. They will eat out of our hand. This potentially changes everything.

See my earlier post just above. I’m CTID and I think we’ll be fine regardless. I couldn’t care less about global recognition or being a big club, but it important to our owners and our investors so I have to factor that in as well. We’ve been hung up to dry and we’ve been looking for that signing on a global scale.What PR debacle. It's Levy who lost. He could taste the money and then suddenly it was gone.
My feeling is it’ll be very awkward if we tease this one and bottle it as well. Thus my feeling it’ll get done.
