It’s only the older the supporters than dislike Ronaldo, just look at when Grealish signed they had kids with his haircut in the ground in City tops, from a marketing side it’s a no brained the PlayStation generations and you tube kids will lap it up, he’s second only to Messi. From a footballing perspective he is a machine and is probably fitter than most 28 year olds he doesn’t need to do all the running we have youngsters to do that. Do I like his arrogance absolutely not but that is celebrated in other countries in the USA they lap it up, us Brits like the Messi type on the pitch but he used us to get what he wanted so at least we know where we stand with Ronaldo. I say sign him and bring Delap on over the next two seasons to replace him.

I just think it's city being relaxed because Juventus would probably try and take the piss. Already stories about adding Jesus or laporte but I think we're playing them at their own game. They'd have the pants off you if you aren't careful.

I think we should pay a fee but we have to be careful to not get carried away. Let Mendes do all the work on this and see what happens

They shouldn’t be we’ve lost Aguero’s wages and I’m sure Kane wouldn’t have been on less than 300k a week had he arrived. Plus easily as marketable as Messi on the bullshit side.

Something doesn't sit well with me. If Ronaldo is prepared to reduce his wage demands why has he not been offered to other teams. Utd would be the obvious team to finish his career with or a return to Madrid.

Maybe it’s the ballon d’or. It looks like this year’s is going to Messi again.

He won’t win it at Juventus, nor United. If he comes to city, he has a better chance.

Messi will be trying to win PSG’s first UCL. Ronaldo will be trying to win ours. Whoever does it will leave a legacy that will be argued for years in their favour

My theory on how a transfer can happen. Juventus want a €25m fee. City don't want to pay. Enter Mendes. Bernardo goes to Juventus for a €60m fee, Ronaldo joins City for a €25m transfer free. Similar to Cancelo/Danilo swap deal, those numbers will be there to balance the books and in effect, Juventus would pay €35m next season (since they're short of cash right now) and City won't pay anything in cash.

Apparently he's ok with a big wage cut. Can't say for certain though. But it did surprise me, in a good way.
