Cristiano Ronaldo

It’s interesting. James Horncastle who is a journo that focuses on Italian football said Juve are a better team without Ronaldo in it. Interesting comments as I do think he talks sense.

I wouldn't claim to be a Serie A expert, but I do live in Italy - I think I agree with Horncastle that Juve are better off losing him this summer, they need to rebuild now after losing their place as the all conquering side here. However I also think this is a great acquisition for City, entering the final two seasons of the Pep era - this is the culmination years of that period, and (in my opinion) he's the perfect fit for getting on the end of the oh-so-many chances that will be created by his team mates. Exciting stuff!

Sam Lee knows fuck all. “Pep not convinced” - hahahaha. Fucking muppet, of course Pep would be convinced. Hardly a tough choice, Ronaldo or no one.
Haha exactly. Keep hearing this bollocks about pressing from the front etc. We were all in for Messi last year who just walks about the pitch without the ball. Both can score 30 odd goals though so no top manager will give a shit with players as special as those 2.

Fantastic article. Tom Worville is good at his job.

Liked this infographic a lot.

Neat way to show how his playing style has changed over the years.

One of the most prolific forwards in the history of football or noone does sound a bit ridiculous when you think of it.

We shifted Kun, a replacement is absolutely essential - Ronaldo's the one.

Was against this until I just dozed off for a bit and had a vivid dream. He was wearing sky blue, gliding up the pitch, weaving between defenders. Now I know this unlikely, but it was extra time and he slots one home against United in the final to nab us the biggest trophy there is. The grandaddy of them all. Yes, believe it. The Carabao Cup.

Sign him up.
Pure madness; there's no way that shower are good enough to reach those heady heights.

Cheer up, today could be the day we get CR7! Rags are in tatters and I think that he will be a huge success at City. We need a proven goal scorer, Ronaldo will do for me.

Him moving to United makes even less sense than us right now.

They have Cavani, I can't see them going for another play over 34.
He sez he wants a 'new' challenge. Going back to The Swamp is relighting an old challenge. Been there, done that, sent off at The Etihad. All done with The Rags.

He’s obviously a very, VERY highly motivated person and dedicated professional. He and Pep must have met lots of times over the years. I’ve no idea How they get along, but they seem to have similar attitudes towards their profession; at which they’re both undeniably two of the best there’s ever been.
It’s interesting! I’d love to see what could happen.
I don’t think he’d upset squad harmony. I think most would be very excited to share a dressing room with him. The experience and discipline he brings could been hugely beneficial and influential.
Maybe he doesn’t press for 90 minutes like Tevez did, but he can finish and is a very intelligent player - like our entire forward line, also like or not; the guy is a presence! In the CL especially, his name on the opposition team sheet is something to take note of.

Also, penalties

If United get involved it would be purely on the basis that they don't want him to go to City. It would cost them upwards of £75m over the next 2 years just so he doesn't come here. It would be the ultimate in small-club mentality and potentially put them out of the running for Haaland or someone else next Summer.
