I think ronaldo wants this move for two main reasons.

1) he is determined to win a 6th champions league to equal the record of most champion league titles a player has won and to stay ahead of MessI.

2) To win the balon dor once again.

He will know the best chance he has of achieving both these are to join a club like city.

Only obstacle we have left imo is if emotion gets in the way and United offer a crazy bid and we walk away. But if ronaldo is the type of person I think he is, the opportunity to win one more champions league will be the deciding factor in joining us.

I don’t watch much Italian football anymore, but Uffa was on here saying the same thing yesterday.

If he does end up at City, it will be fascinating seeing how he slots into the way we play - or doesn’t, as the case may be.

We may end up having to adapt to him, as he’s tell about the pass and move pressing game Pep favours, but is so much more direct and clinical than anyone we’ve got in the team right now.
 
There’s rumors that Sterling will leave to balance the books. I’m not sure I’d be up for that tbh. Anyone else think the same?

I very rarely watch SSN, but last week I stuck it on as there was news about Harry Hotspur. This Kaveh was sat there tapping away at his phone while the presenter was talking to him, and she said “what are you doing?” he replied “I’m emailing Tottenham as we speak to get an update”…

“EMAILING TOTTENHAM”?! What a fucking bullshitting bastard!

Alright, the 75% is an exaggeration and I might have been a bit craggy due to the early start at work. I understand a lot of people don't hold the same view about the guy and simply want someone who will score a fuckload of goals.

But there are a handful of people on here who have primed themselves for a monumental ribbing and I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't duly oblige.

What I will say is that the backlash has already been pretty sweet. I'm surprised because the handful of united fans I've spoken to directly aren't arsed in the slightest but there have already been some wonderful tantrums. That suffering is the single consolation I would take if it went through.
