Next Captain

Small chance that there might be a new captain for this game. Pep said we're waiting until after the transfer window to have the annual vote. I can't see Fernandinho being outvoted for the main captaincy but if he's not playing it wouldn't surprise me to see Dias with the armband.

Then again it might just be Gundogan and we might just stick with our 'longest serving player gets it' rule until Steffen is named club captain with 70 appearances under his belt in 2029.

Has to be Dias, natural leader and if fit will play in a majority of the games.

Fern club captain, a leader off the field/ training ground.

I think dias had more of a leadership trait then anyone else minus dinho obviously. Sterling Iv never seen him encourage the team when things go wrong. Kdb I love him but I don’t think he does a good job of it either. Kompany was the best as a leader and the closest we have to that is dinho and dias imo

I assume it'll be Fernandinho still this season, with Dias replacing Aguero in the famous five.

It seems to us 'outsiders' that Ruben is the clear and obvious choice,however.....however,it would appear Pep has a handful of others he would bizarrely rather.

I love how you try to frame it as preposterous that Guardiola would know these people better than you.

People he actually knows, and works with every day, shares highs and lows with, teaches and mentors?

Your weirdo whining about Pep is irrelevant anyway as the players pick the captain.

I thought the term 'outsiders' would cover that base, but clearly not where an antagonistic.self righteous, bell end, like you is concerned.

As for 'weirdo'

Take a look in the mirror sunshine.

Unfortunately you undermined your acknowledgement of being an outside by insisting Pep's reasons would be "bizarre" and not just the product of actually knowing the people involved.

I dont think pep puts much importance on it. Just the oldest/most experienced player gets the arm band on any certain day

i know the italians literally just have the most capped player. Or certainly used to

am i too old fashioned expecting the manager to pick a captain and vice captain himself? This player vote thing seems nonsense?
