We don't but Laporte wasn't great on Saturday and I am hopeful Stones will start tomorrow.

Agreed. Hope he does too.

I'm a Stones believer. Think he is the best defender at the club. But I'm also aware he has heard form swings in the past. So be cautiously optimistic

The Laporte/Dias partnership is not even close to Stones/Dias.

Both very good players and hopefully a few more games together will see it blossom. I have my doubts as currently we are far more solid with the latter partnership.

Actually it's three games, zero conceded. Aké partnered Dias against Tottenham

Stood up to Lumpkaku , would back him against any physical centre forward , he doesnt give them an inch.

Can't be dropped with performances like that. Stones will have to be patient. Handled lukaku and werner very well, matchinf both for pace and strength. got rolled a few times but had the presence of mind to take the foul against him when allowing him to go forward could have been more dangerous.

Hopefully the rumours over the summer were just that and he is happy because he's brilliant.

To be honest, didn’t have to do much. Lukaku was absolutely woeful, first touch is worse than a goalpost’s.

Poor for that pull down which could have lead to a worse situation than the shot free kick it did end up as. Other than that, Laporte had an easy day at the office.
