There's a distinct possibility that they'll go down, unless they sign a couple in January, but what half right player would want to move there? They could join, from a successful club, and end up in the Championship a few months later, so they've got to get it right and stay up with what they've got.
The Goat likes this post.

Watched them yesterday and they were poor, they are going down with a billion in the bank :)

In the long run it isn't going to hurt them at all though, it's just a matter of time until they get it right.

the winter transfer window will be fun ? its going to take some offers of double bubble or more to get clubs to sell players that are only good enough to keep them up ? i bet united will be rubbing their hands with players for sale..
the newcastle take over really was bad timed and the winter window is not a buyers market and nobody will be selling the best players never mind squad players.

the best move for newcastle would be to sign a manager short term that could keep them up.
somebody like roy hodgson would be a good signing a old head that knows the league

anyway good luck to them ? its hard being hated by everybody that was your so called friend

does this ring a bell

Interesting read. I can see why we have stood with Newcastle on this particular issue after the dogs abuse we have received over the years. Add in the other letter writing pricks and it’s good to have an alliance considering the rest of the league want us driven to ruin.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport explicitly said that City and Etihad were not considered to be related parties, but for some reason The Guardian continue to perpetuate the myth.

Just read that.

Surely City's legal team will be on to that?

The Cartelneeds to be put down.

It's good to have another Powerhouse to fight these rat clubs

Well PL will have a Problem.

Boris Johnson and his Regime wants the Saudis to spent in Newcastle and in their Region. So if u forbid them Investing , The Government is gonna intervene quickly
I’d hazard a guess the government have already been involved in making sure the deal went through. I’m not sure they’d get involved now, again, but who knows. They ought to, if the 18 carry on like this. Wonder if Newcastle will challenge this ruling in the courts…

It’s a shame Sheff United were relegated. That would have made it 3, with another Saudi owner.

As the Red Shirts owners know too well, there are plenty of ways to negotiate lucrative transfer deals without falling fowl of these new PL and Red Shirts rules. Not to mention funneling money through tax havens, and hacking other clubs player databases.

Money will likely be excellent. So financially it is a good move.

Suppose you get in early you are on the ground floor of a club that will be pissing with the big boys eventually. It's a gamble but all in all not a bad one.

mcfc legal advice says it would see PL acting as a cartel

It really is scandalous clubs attempting to block investment into another club. And for any lurking Geordies reading this, City have had to fight this kind of shit for over a decade, and if you were one of those mouthy twats who had a pop at City then tough shit, welcome to the real world.
