Next Manager after Pep

There is no one to replace pep unfortunately :( we will need to replace our tactics and everything. It will be a new era of football.

In the back of my mind I think pep see’s the corruption going on with football and how the cartel has tried to stop us winning the league/champions league in the past. Also with the academy looking very good and players like Palmer coming through I could see a new and interesting project for Pep to keep the spark Alive enough for him.

sign Haaland in the summer and I feel there is a glimmer of hope he might extend ! Just a feeling though !

100% it's overhyped, but does winning it put you on the top table? 100% it does.

And the most important, our owner has made it a goal, so it will be a priority.
Where is this top table?

What extra besides money does it really bring?

It might make Mike the bedroom scouse/rag dipper stop tweeting about it but whose arsed about those cnuts

We can attract the best players now.

Do I want to win it, yes but only as much as any of the 4 competitions we are in.

Sliding scale the PL all day

Cups are on a level for me

Has Ten Haag gone on record about managing a 'bigger' club?

Seems quite content at Ajax as of now.
Only seen him talking about having the dream to manage the Dutch national team, but also said he wouldn’t take that job while under contract at Ajax

Top table includes putting the big silver shiny cup at your stadium, like it or not it gives you total credibility.

I totally agree the Premiership title is No1 no question but it's also a fact that the Champions league is THE club trophy THAT every club side wants and the top players even more so.

This desire has nothing to do with our rivals, this is the desire of this club and it's owner.

Great clubs win in Europe it’s that simple really, I’ve said it before Winning the European cup doesn’t make you a great club but you can’t be one without winning it.

I didn’t start supporting City because they were one of the greatest or most successful but the owners will want us to be known as a great club all over the world.

Total credibility - piss off

Not every club side wants it as most have absolutely no chance ever

You sound mesmerised by it

Love the way Pep handles the media now. He’s come from managing teams that are regarded as gods by the world (Barca & BM) and where they have no problems with the authorities - indeed, these teams are lauded by UEFA FIFA etc because they make them money. They’re allowed to spend what they like & buy whoever they want.
At City it’s a constant fight & as Pep says, we have no help. Everything we’ve done has been a fight & we’ve done it ourselves.

Pep must really love our club to have fought these tossers for so long.
I wonder if he’ll stay longer than his current contract. He has great relationships with our heirarchy & with the fans ( apart from a few who know better of course!)

keep fighting the media Pep.

Think I would rather have Potter than Rodgers. A boyhood rag and ex Scouse cult leader whose teams flatter to deceive but usually choke in April/May. And a thoroughly odd man, a walking mid life crisis with dyed hair, Rylan Clark dentistry and a giant portrait of himself in his house. Not for me
As Brenda already has the largest nose i have ever seen, that self portrait is probably hung in the living room and the nose reaches into the kitchen!

Half rag, half dipper, all bottle job.

If we hire Brendan Rodgers I will, in all seriousness, tear up my virtual season card. Fuck that shiny toothed ****.

Im guessing city want to build a dynasty, they certainly don't believe in short term managers and it takes quite a lot for them to sack someone, see Gareth Taylor in the women's team right now. Mancini had to have the whole squad rebel and Pellegrini probably knew from day 1 if we could get Pep we were going to. Post Pep, I think they'll want stability and if Rodgers does succeed, he could likely be a 10-15 year appointment and I think that's what they want. Some of the bigger names simply wouldn't be that, so I think the club are probably thinking if they do graduate someone from best of the rest to the best, they'll keep them for ages. Not sure if it will work tbh and this strategy could lead to fallow seasons.
