Next Manager after Pep

What he has done with Ajax is incredible. Would be a brilliant choice for City. love to see what he could do with the budget we have.

That Brenda is being mentioned alongside Nagelsmann, ten Haag or Luis Enrique seems grotesque.

Q. How do you replace the the Best?
A. Get the next best, or get the one who’ll shortly be even better than the one you have to replace.

Brenda is not that man. Not even close. Unthink that thought, right now. You wouldn’t replace Ederson with Jordan Pickford saying “think how good he could be with Dias, Stones or Laporte in front of him”. You replace Pep with a guy with a CV that blasts out “Look at me - look at what I’m doing right now”; not with a promising rookie, not an ex-big leaguer having one last swing at the big-time.

We may be in the final couple of laps of the Pep ride. I don’t intend to miss a minute of it. Don’t look back on it, look forward to what’s left.

Luis Enrique
Ten Hag
Nagelsmann

Surely thats top 3. Rodgers at best 4th choice.
Think I would rather have Potter than Rodgers. A boyhood rag and ex Scouse cult leader whose teams flatter to deceive but usually choke in April/May. And a thoroughly odd man, a walking mid life crisis with dyed hair, Rylan Clark dentistry and a giant portrait of himself in his house. Not for me

Hope no one takes offense in this, but I don’t see any English manager currently as up for the job

would be funny if ten hag finally takes on a big club and is a failure. to see all the ten hag fans go quiet and he has a lot of fans at many teams, quite unusual for a manager that only did good things at one club in a farmers league

Has Ten Haag gone on record about managing a 'bigger' club?

Seems quite content at Ajax as of now.

personally dont even care about his background , just the fact that hes nothing but average.

Was seriously pissed off with him in the aftermath of the Champs League final, but can't bear the thought of him leaving, a one of a kind like any special person has his flaws.

Disagree. Winning it is less important than being in and around the latter stages most years.

Are Chelsea any bigger now than before they fluked it against Bayern - I don’t think so.

Has Juve’s standing diminished because they haven’t won it for a quarter of a century - again, no.

Inter won it for the first time in over 40 yrs in 2010 and then had a barren decade.

It’s overhyped.
100% it's overhyped, but does winning it put you on the top table? 100% it does.

And the most important, our owner has made it a goal, so it will be a priority.

Agree about Sheikh Mansour.

I think we’re already at the top table. It’s possible that actually winning the CL increases our number of social media fans which might theoretically increase the value of the club but to all intents and purposes nothing would change.

100% True but if you can plonk down on the table the Champions League trophy you have arrived, all the snipping would stop.

It would also add huge financial value to the club and at the end of the day that's one of the main reasons our owner/stake holders are around, they are not doing this for fun.

The sniping would only get worse - I can see the headlines now ….
