Religion

Do not dare try and suggest what? No matter. Great that you find peace and harmony. What I saying is that you have seemingly decided that your observations about this thread are correct, that my observations are not in agreement and thus are incorrect. How to know what is true? Perhaps you could use a scientific method to go through this thread and draw conclusions that way? Thought not. Anyhow this feels like a distraction from the thread, so maybe best to carry on in pm or to bring the conversation to an end. Cheers
Scientific method relies on proof of concept by observation. For anyone to use the argument 'there is no proof a 'higher power' doesn't exist, or to suggest that a 'higher power' is the explanation for things we don't yest understand is bizarre.

Because your observations ARE incorrect; making a statement that is completely false and have failed to back it up and are now using your own false interpretations to support your own conclusion.

Here's the "scientific method" for you; use the search function, find all posts on this thread that back up what you claim, copy and paste the specific posts. You're just being ignorant now.
No - YOU go prove it!

No - YOU go prove it!
YOU made the claim. There are no posts that state that religion is bad because it is anti-science. You simply can't find any.

Satisfied? Now you provide evidence of posts that prove people have said that.

According to you, yes.
Commenting that people have stated something when they haven't, then refusing to back up that claim with evidence to the contrary, asking others to disprove it for you, then refusing to accept you may have got it wrong, is ignorant.

Or maybe you are just writing from a state of ignorance yourself and claiming this to be truth.

And as 2 or 3 posters argue with each other, people are still dying in Palestine, Burma, Central Africa, the Middle East.
All because someone's God is better than someone else's.
Metal biker spoke of meditation and this bringing peace and harmony. There have been threads on Bluemoon discussing ,for example, the use of the drug spice. Do you believe that folk that use spice are less if more likely to know this harmony? If they did come to know this harmony, would they be less or more likely to use spice? Would this choice be likely to gave an effect on their behavior overall? Etc etc. So I’d agree that arguing about ‘whose God us better’ isn’t so great but I’d say that within this area there is potential for positive and practical change.
