Yep, same here pal - I’m only going off live albums and bootlegs I’ve heard.I'm too young to have seen Zeppelin live (although I did see Page & Plant) but by all accounts The Song Remains The Same fails to catch them at their best live. They certainly have a reputation for being a great live act and some of the other bits that are available do support that. Anyway, it's all immaterial now...

Of all the gigs I've not been to, if I could choose one to get in a Tardis and go back and attend, it would be one of those Zep gigs at Earls Court.
What Page could generate in a studio was staggering wasn’t it? Mostly sounded underpowered live, but the soundscapes he created in the studio were immense and intense.Even if they had ended up a footnote in history, the opening riff to Achilles Last Stand would have burnt a bright light for guitar bands evermore.
Sad that. Cole liked a tall tale but he was there for it all. RIP.![]()

Knebworth 79. The guitars sound great! I’ve a feeling there are overdubs thoWhat Page could generate in a studio was staggering wasn’t it? Mostly sounded underpowered live, but the soundscapes he created in the studio were immense and intense.

Plant was on talksport this morning with some tales of his days as a Wolves supporter.
Laid in to that prick Agbonlahor much to the amusement of Woods and McCoist.
