Vaccines can be tweaked. I’d not want another lockdown, but would be happy to be guided by the science.

I heard a scientist on the radio this week say it will take around three months to tweak the vaccine once the omicron variant has been studied, he reckoned the vax should be here by May.

The point being if current vaccines are ineffective and even boosters don't work then there is no obvious exit. I don't think that is remotely the case but lockdown fetishists can't get enough.

He's been saying shite like that for ages now. Outlandish statements designed to make the opposite of what he wants seem foolish.

I think the scientist was saying it would take 3-6 weeks to study the new strain then 3 months to reassign the vaccine, May being worst case scenario.

3 months after studying the new strain which would take a few weeks then hopefully 3 months after that. Beginning of May at the worst, so about 5 months in total but he was hopeful they could complete earlier. He said once they had the full info it would be really easy to tweak the vaccine but it’s still a three months target after that.

I admit that the initial lockdown was a blessing in disguise for me. I have sensory processing disorders (mild autism and ADHD) and it was the most at peace I have felt in years.

If nothing else this Pandemic has shown how that if we all pull together and remain strong, be kind to each other and understand each other’s concerns then we can unite and beat it...

Oh, my mistake, it’s shown the complete opposite. That the human race will find a way to fucking bicker, disagree and basically do what they want regardless of circumstances.
