If anyone lives in Warrington and wants a booster they have opened bookings for over 18s with 3+months since last dose.
So we are in a relentless pandemic then because there are far more than 50k new colds every day. What part of the definition of pandemic mentions severity? Ohh thats right. it doesnt.

Endemic, not pandemic.Aside from the fact that pandemics are designated by the World (clue's in the name) Health Organisation on the basis of widespread transmission across a wide region or multiple continents, there are 1,000 people a week dying in the UK as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Do carry on.
So not from Covid then, per your choice of vernacular.Aside from the fact that pandemics are designated by the World (clue's in the name) Health Organisation on the basis of widespread transmission across a wide region or multiple continents, there are 1,000 people a week dying in the UK as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

Even the Beeb quoting it's less severe than Delta. Any measures are purely political power grabs of democracy you're happy to throw away, all because you feel self-important in these threads and get a kick out of campaigning to take people's freedoms away.
PandemicEndemic, not pandemic.
I am not referring to the situation across the globe as per your WHO definition so there is no claim in my argument as to whether it is right or wrong. You have a habit of presenting straw man arguments and hoping nobody notices.Sure, you're right, WHO is wrong. I admire your self confidence, if (literally) nothing else.

It's not indifferent to the vaccine they say works on a variant they've said is less severe. The people who will end up taking our freedom away - in some cases the freedom to live - are those who find the facts too painful and instead indulge their paranoid fantasies about "political power grabs" and the like.
Because the truth about an virus utterly indifferent to their rhetoric is too hard to face.
Cases rocketed midsummer as society returned to normal and have remained at roughly the same level since, fluctuating slightly. Endemic. You're claiming that what is happening in the UK makes it not a pandemic.
A pandemic is defined on the global situation, not the UK situation.
So you're straightforwardly wrong; what's happening in the UK is irrelevant to whether there's a pandemic.
You're also wrong about the covid position in the UK. It's very obviously not yet endemic given that cases rocketed midsummer, and right now there's a variant doubling every 3 days.
You're wrong. Give it up.
Latest update from Pfizer on three doses against Omicron sounds very promising
If it’s true though, there’s absolutely no justification for more restrictions.I’m not suggesting this is true, but very convenient that they have found this a day after saying 2 jabs don’t offer much protection. Haven’t they just put their prices up? All seems very convenient.
Yes I am a cynic.
You gotta love these people with no scientific education, no qualifications etc who suddenly think they know better than actual scientists. A sign of true thickness imo.
It's not indifferent to the vaccine they say works on a variant they've said is less severe.
So you square the circle. It can't be all those things the scientists say it is and we need more restrictions. So it's either political, they're liars or both.
It would be an epidemic in a country, pandemic if it covered the world.Again, you clearly dont know what a pandemic is. You cant just opt out of it cos you decide to.
Pandemic = "(of a disease) prevalent over a whole country or the world."
Not true at all. The UK tests far more than anyone else in the world AND Russia has had more deaths per million than us for yonks and Eastern Europe overtook us at the end of October.yeah the last few weeks have shifted that goal post in Europe. but generally for the last 6 months its been correct.
