Fair play but I was taking about out current state of play to address those people saying we are not in a pandemic anymore. Not referring to any prediction. The numbers are in DAYS in the SAGE leak I read, not weeks.

He’s certainly fairly special.this is probably the most idiotic thing I've read in a while.
it will only happen if the NHS gets overloaded. And there are not any definite signs that that will happen as yet. Omicron appears to be more contagious but less dangerous. Here in Scotland, we have applied for emergency funding from the government as it’s expected, businesses will be forced to shut in the coming weeks due to restrictions going much further.
lockdown is coming.
I’ve fallen out with Spaz.I’ve told you about arguing with @gordondaviesmoustache mate ;)
1918-20 mate.Spanish flu was probably 1917-1921.
These things take years to fizzle out.
that's excluding the siestas.1918-20 mate.
That’s 7,000 in hospital. There’s over 50,000 cases per day. “Prevalent” doesn’t mean “in hospital”.But 7000 out of 67 million (if the figures quoted are accurate) is hardly “prevalent”.
I don’t necessarily disagree with you but there is definitely some influence from the sheer number of people who are selfish and don’t do their part (wearing masks, getting vaccinated). At some point you will realise that restrictions beget restrictions, as I told you weeks ago.
People didn’t die from a lack of oxygen with the Spanish Flu. Most died from a cytokine storm in their body as the immune system was overloaded. We didn't have hospital oxygen on tap during Spanish Flu to anything like the current level. Without hospital oxygen, the death ratio from Covid would have been much, much higher
I know, as I’ve posted previous I’m well over it. Just pointing out why we face an increase in restrictions, we can’t risk our health system collapsing.Who now have amazing, proven antiviral drugs at hand as well as the vast majority of us vaccinated.
At what point do we get on with life mate?
Because the vaccine reduces the chances of being hospitalised by 90%. If EVERYONE was fully vaccinated then we wouldn’t be seeing 7,000 In Hospital clogging up the NHS, we’d be seeing closer to 700.Bollocks how do you work that out? Im fully vaxxed and wear a mask before you call me anti-vaxx. The vaccine doesn’t stop you catching it or passing it on. Everyone I know that has got it recently is double vaxxed.
How many cold pandemics and flu pandemics must we have then? That’s 7,000 in hospital. There’s over 50,000 cases per day. “Prevalent” doesn’t mean “in hospital”.
Several I would imagine going off the precise definition. How many cold pandemics and flu pandemics must we have then?
I think we're always in a pandemic going off that definition.Several I would imagine going off the precise definition.
It would've been a lot lot worse without the vaccine. Many lives have been saved. The vast majority of the adult population have taken the jab yet here we are staring down the barrel of yet more restrictions and I’ve no doubt, lockdowns to come.
I don’t disagree. Going off that definition.I think we're always in a pandemic going off that definition.
Probably not a very meaningful definition then is it?I don’t disagree. Going off that definition.
