I've been saying at home that the only way this gets changed is at CAS.The appeal will fail, it will be interesting to see if they go all the way to CAS

Exhibit ANot the same though, is it? False equivvalence.
Could burn Steve Woodward in the amount of Straw Men constructed in this thread, lol.
He was ahead. It was in the stewards decision on the matter. He was ahead not alongside.
I've already been saying exactly that. The FIA have gone through their own rulebook, determined that "any does not mean all", that Masi was correct in pulling in the SC when he did and gave everyone one exciting lap of racing in their season closer. It's got nothing to do with Lewis not winning its the fact as a sporting event nobbling the guy who is clearly going to win either with or without the safety car is farcical. It got nothing to do with Max.Masi had a decision to make in a short time and instead of following the rules he decided to make it more exciting off his own back.
I said earlier, Mercedes should accept the result and take the FIA to CAS, they'll win, no consolation for Hamilton, but it should produce a new governing body, rules that can't be "adapted", and better racing all round.I've been saying at home that the only way this gets changed is at CAS.
Whatever is said it wasn't a decision made with sporting integrity.I've already been saying exactly that. I'm sharing what the FIA have stated. They aren't my own thoughts or opinions. I'm just curious to know if people are upset about rules being broken or that someone benefitted from a situation and another didn't. I'm stating the position that the FIA have taken so people know what it is.
“I believe, quite comfortably, if the process is going to be judged on facts then unquestionably we will prevail,” he said. “If it’s not about facts and it’s about other things, then it is a different conversation.Mercedes need to get this man on the phone

Spot on...I think it is a competence issue but it has resulted in a horribly contrived result that made a mockery of the first 50 odd laps of that race.
Justice has not been served in any way shape or from.
If Max had been the faster driver on the day, I'd have been a bit disappointed that Lewis was not champion again but it would have been fair enough. Today Hamilton was smashing it.
I have seen some injustices in sport but I think this one tops anything that has gone before.
I think most are upset that that they have invested time following a sport and then in the last minute they have been robbed because it isn't a sport at all.I've already been saying exactly that. It's the FIA, what did anyone expect? They've got their champion, the season is over, they promote his face on all F1 branded products and move onto the next season.Whatever is said it wasn't a decision made with sporting integrity.
Exactly! On Hamilton, the time it would have taken to get all the lapped cars in front and then a subsequent lap before the safety car left would have had an impact on their decision whether to pit or not. They thought it was either the lapped cars would be between Hamilton and Verstappen or all would have passed, either of which would have led to a Hamilton win.
Off course it means all. I can't believe anyone is even fuckin defending it
If Bottas was a good teammate, (which he isn't) he would have spun his car off the track on lap 56 leaving no option but to finish the race under a safety car.
It is over.
I've been a fan since 1992, seen it happen many times, watched old races where the same shit goes down. This is the most blatently obvious example of rule bending to get the situation they wanted, because until then the race was looking like a cut and shut result.I think most are upset that that they have invested time following a sport and then in the last minute they have been robbed because it isn't a sport at all.
If Max had won fairly then some posters would be upset like we were against Chelsea however they would accept the result.
I'm not an avid fan this was my second race and I think it's laughable. I have no view on either driver but Hamilton is a brit so if he won fair and square sorted but it wasn't particularly important. If I had invested a season on it I would be fuming.
Accidents happen when you're trying to warm your tyres up. But they also can't blame Hamilton for what mistakes Bottas makes. Was a situation like that a few years back with Bruno Senna, crashing purposely to bring a safety car out. Renault got hammered for it at the time.

Had Latifi not crashed and no safety car deployed, they'd be no chaos right now. Masi saw an opportunity to set up an "epic" final lap race-to-the-finish style ending and they got it. I doubt who won was on their mind, they just wanted to avoid a damp squip ending of finishing on yellow flags. I suppose Masi thought that was what was best for business.
I'm more pissed off that in the final third of the season McLaren have just collapsed.
