I think it’s fair for people to feel frustrated who have been triple jabbed to feel like their lives aren’t returning to normal.

those who haven’t been jabbed I could not give a fuck about.

but it’s annoying that the vaccines need to be supported by social restrictions as well again as that was not what was expected or promised.

you glibly say things like people have lost holidays and going to the pub with mates. I like holidays ,seeing mates, going the game and seeing gigs and enjoying life to the max . Interacting with humans is brilliant .

I appreciate some people are happy to stay in their bedroom and be on social media all day and cracking one off over youporn . Everyone’s life is different I suppose.

I don’t blame people being pissed off that they are fearing more restrictions on their life they have complied we have been triple jabbed . We wear our masks but….

With the vaccines, nothing was promised as such aside from efficacy against the original strain for a certain period of time, that was it. Those that think it was going to be an elixir lasting forever either didn’t pay attention or got completely suckered in by the political narrative rather than the actual one.

Personally I think it’s great news a booster of the original vaccines is as effective as it is against Omicron, even if it does need some social restrictions on top due to the transmission rate of it. One of the key benefits mentioned when the vaccines were made were that they could be quickly modified as the virus evolved, which is always what people thought would happen. Thankfully, we haven’t had to do that yet.

Queue up for your next one at the end of Jan then because that's the decay rate where the last one became ineffective, based on this sales pitch.
Yep, will book my booster when my 28 day wait - after covid - is up, early Jan. No sales pitch, couldn’t care less who takes and who doesn’t, personal choice, but JCVI were clear that vaccines aren’t perfect and they will wane over time, particularly Astra zeneca. To the point that a booster is needed after 6 months.

I’m 34, healthy, triple jabbed.

I work in an industry that’s been decimated through all this (live entertainment).

I’m disgusted and furious that they’re talking about restricting our lives again.

I’m on the verge of baying for blood I’m that angry.

Fuck the lot of these charlatans.

The French had the right idea in the 1700s.

Possibly not a fair assessment of AZ there. It could be that it is the best of the lot for T cells judging by recent research. AZ gets poor coverage and I think a lot of it is based on nationalistic/political reasons or from commercial rivals making billions out of Covid.

thus we're being pitched to have them about 3, obviously.

Graham Medley just confessed that they model what the government asks them to model.
Just been reading that.

Basically they get asked to model worst case scenarios but not the actual likeliness of it happening. Just ‘here is the worst case scenario, do what you see fit with it’.

This is our future now because we have politicians who can not be arsed to fund, staff and equip the NHS correctly and would rather strip it to its bare bones and then plead with the public to help protect it by staying indoors whenever it suits them.

Agree AZ gets unfair treatment, all the vaccines act differently against different variants. I think Pfizer isn’t as effective against delta. But all have done/doing their job and I’m very grateful for that. I’m just going off the research by JCVI, UCL that AZ drops off more and a reason mRNA vaccines like Moderna and Pfizer should be used for boosters.
