So by the looks of that, Graham Medley hasn’t said the government tell them to model worst case scenarios

Think you should stay behind your sofa and order everything on line and wait 5 days till you bring it inside, it’s not going away
Well-read is never boring, mate. You might be able to tell from my posts I’m a bit boring;) Read an interview with someone from one of the SPI groups that advise Sage.
I like your post mate. One thing however is that I don't understand why over the 2 years this has been going why we haven't built extra capacity? Is the nightingale hospital even open now?
Loads of these people going out will still live at home with their parents. So it could ruin their family’s Christmas.Whose Xmas is it ruining? Those on social media who want to lock everyone down?
Boo hoo
Trust me, it’s possible to have done everything that’s been asked of you so far, be triple jabbed but be at the end of your tether with government/SAGE and what I now feel are the lies and manipulation of the public by them.
Im no denier or antivaxxer, I’ve just had enough.
Bottom line is we don’t have enough doctors and nurses that’s the major problem.
jabbed on demand. You're still none the Pfizer nonetheless.never queued for any of them yet - all 3 very slick in and out - no bother - booked online and less of a faff on than ordering some new wheel trims for the wife's car on Amazon tonight - two of the originals popped off in a week and as they were held on with wire ties I suspect foul play
Yeah - a few years ago I had a shit Ford C-Max on a lease that I had enough of because it was bobbins however it was leased via my then employer so I couldn't get rid but what I could do was suck it up follow the rules and live with it in a mature adult kind of way
well the Dutch enjoy the Michael Masi approach to the rulebook, change them and apply them as they fancy with no regard to how they are actually democratically meant to be applied. As illustrated by the tweet above, the “big problem” is one of the scenarios they model. Are you suggesting that if we get more restrictions, then it is as a result of a miscommunication between the government and SAGE?
I still think the most likely explanation is that the government are worried about the breakdown of the NHS. The Dutch government clearly are.

I don’t want to stop them doing it. I just think they’re either thick or selfish going out if they are planning to spend Christmas with their loved ones.

True. It’s madness. Very selfish behaviour.errr - don't want to piss on your chips mate but the people you describe - even if they feel unwell - ain't gonna take a test - ain't gonna isolate and ain't gonna change their plans - they will blag it around a dinner table on Christmas Day with up to 20 other people believe me
I’m no expert on Dutch politics, but like I’ve said for our government, I can’t see any reason why ANY government would want to piss off their population for no reason other than because they can.well the Dutch enjoy the Michael Masi approach to the rulebook, change them and apply them as they fancy with no regard to how they are actually democratically meant to be applied.
junkie.on MY demand with MY consent

There’ll be hundreds of thousands of people who have Covid but aren’t aware of it as vaccines/boosters/potential less severe makes it nothing more than a cold. There’s been 180k positive cases in the last 48 hrs. I wouldn’t risk catching covid and ruining Christmas (because I’d have to isolate and so family couldn’t come round) just for a night out! I think it’s mad.
idiotjunkie.
well, you can pull someone into a lifeboat to save them from drowning. Doesn't mean their mandatory rule that you have to jump out of the boat as well should be bowed too when it isn't necessary and isn't proportional to the scale of the problem.I’m no expert on Dutch politics, but like I’ve said for our government, I can’t see any reason why ANY government would want to piss off their population for no reason other than because they can.
The less people do to help the situation, the more restrictions the government are forced to apply. It’s a simple equation.
I'm not going to validate your self-doubts about having it. You made your choice and you'll have to live with the insecurity during the next lockdown you were told we wouldn't need.idiot
