Phil and Jack on the lash?

That's your exaggeration.

The fact is that Pep treated Mendy very leniently for a long period.

His 'punishment' of Foden and Grealish was non-existent, unless they've also both been fined two weeks wages, which I certainly hope they have.
Innocent until proven guilty.

Let Mendy have a fair and open trial, he can have his say and a jury will decide.

Some of the posts in here. Did they do anything illegal? No.

They had a few swallies, got caught out the next day by the Boss and have had internal discipline taken.

Nothing more to see here unless you’ve got an axe to grind.

they did nothing illegal but I fear Foden doesn’t have the professionalism shown by the likes of Kevin; Kun; David & Bernardo - which is why he is in danger of not reaching their levels. He’s too easily led

exactly. Pep’s not his judge. Imagine if he’d “punished” him & he was subsequently found innocent.
Having said that - I can’t stand the guy. Waste of space & lacking talent

Mendy is a complete waster, talented without question but no dedication to his career but is he a serial rapist?

I have my doubts over the case, celebrities, money etc, these guys are easy targets but time and justice will soon have it's say.

your aware Mendy didn't by his own right have to tell the club what was going on with him.

nowhere has it said he turned up hungover
Pep made sure, through Pol Ballus, that the details came out that they were not in the “right condition” for training. What do you suppose that means in the context of having gone on a night out the night before? You can be pedantic all you like just because the word ‘hangover’ wasn’t explicitly used. But it’s clear they were. We don’t know to what degree, but they were hungover. Unless you think Pep/the club are lying about the details in their press briefs.

Part of the reason that we have such a team is that Pep is clearly the boss. If he feels the need to let players know exactly why they have not been selected then it is up to the player how they receive that knowledge - do what Pep has told you and you'll play, carry on as you are and you won't play. For me, that is the way it has to be, especially when dealing with young players who have yet to reach what they are capable of.
As for Mendy, it is right that nothing is said or done until the end of the trial. He is, currently, an innocent man.

David being Silva who liked his ale?

He did ok.

He's a very talented footballer. But also he's a young lad. Remember when you were young? If you were anything like me and my mates we were totally dick and beer led. Its called adolescence . Some good advice and a couple of bollockings might go some way to solving the problem ,but a couple more years experience will be invaluable.

You honestly think that the club weren't made aware of police interest in Mendy and his activities?

You're very naive.
We don’t know that for sure and even if they did know, Mendy could have said that they are baseless accusations, as Adam Johnson did.

It’s just weird that you brought Mendy up in a thread about a couple of players having a night out on the tiles.

DId you compare Joey Barton to Peter Sutcliffe when he did Dabo and Tandy?

Did they say they were hungover? No.

So you are presuming they were.

It is totally unprofessional to show up to training hungover at a club as demanding as City, during the most crucial period of the season. Not thinking so is odd tbh.
Did I miss the bit where they were reported as being hungover? Perhaps they stayed out too late and just didn't have the energy levels in training that they expect. The monitors they wear will report all sorts.
We've got a coach who kept a suspected rapist in the squad. I think that says more than enough about how tough his punishment for Thicko and Dickhead was

The media has got more than enough evidence to wipe the floor with plenty of stupid footballers. They're their own worst enemies and deserve whatever they get thrown at them.
Wow, you seem determined to come across as a total dickhead yourself. Well done, job accomplished.

some of the recent posts they've done is a tad concerning
