[Sport via Financial Times] Perez, Laporta and Agnelli recently met to discuss the Super League project. The idea is to introduce the project this year, without taking UEFA into account. They want the Super League to start this year.

Seems like they want to introduce it again and start it immediately in September

What with 3 teams.

I'd welcome it. Providing City aren't involved and UEFA took severe action against the teams joining.
The main action being players banned from representing European counties in Euros and WC, and teams being re-admitted to national leagues at step 5 or below if/when it goes tits up.

They want it to run alongside domestic leagues. So i'd add that any club that joins be banned from the domestic league. No way will the fans of those clubs want that.

The clubs have already hired PR firms for the restart.

Also I read the Financial Times Article and they state , clubs can't leave unless they pay the Penalty fee which is 400 Million. So if the league starts and English Teams refuse to join, they will be charged with 400 Million €

agreed.

id rather just Uefa collapse and something less corrupt comes from its ashes
As sorry as this sounds we need UEFA. If it collapsed you know the cartel clubs would do all they could to get ultimate power in whatever followed.

UEFA is far from perfect and corrupt, whilst favouring cartel clubs against us, but they at least aren’t those clubs in charge.

Without UEFA, City would never dominate European football, at least we now have a chance.

If i understand the format right, the Super league is a closed shop for the original members & that they cannot not be relegated. This is my only issue.

Agree will be interesting to see City against top european team in league format, will probably eventually dominate it in few years along side maybe Bayern battling at top spot due on how consistent we are in League format.

Good luck with sending debt collectors round.

How are UEFA going to win the Court Case in April against the Super League ?

Has anybody thought about ?

Like even how bad and aweful the Super League was, UEFA threatened them with fines and bans and forced other Clubs to sign documents. Also they wanted to ban Super League Players from their competition.

That's a Monopoly , it's like Google forbidding other company's to build smartphones or they wont let them use Android Software for them.

U don't need even good lawyers , they can't win. UEFA is actually screwed

I think it will end up in some sort of compromise situation. UEFA clearly can't do anything to stop clubs setting up their own league but the new league would never succeed without the support of other clubs, sponsors, and fans. At the same time the current situation where a corrupt body like UEFA regulates the clubs while it competes with them commercially for revenues is unsustainable. A deal will have to be done.
