Don't forget that 40% of the US isn't vaccinated, that's over 40 million people. They also have bigger numbers of the worst COVID complicating conditions such as obesity, heart problems, diabetes etc.Certainly not over in America
The number of deaths from COVID in the US has gone up by about 40% in a week, the head of the national public health agency has said.
Rochelle Walensky, director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, added that hospitalisations were up by about 33% in the past week.
COVID is perhaps the perfect storm over there and so it's obvious why more people have died in the US than anywhere else.
