Is ridiculous for ridiculously good or ridiculously bad?
3 of our PL wins have been very fortunate (12, 14 and 19).
I was genuinely curious as to what you meant by 'something off about him...' given that it's not generally a term used to compliment a person. No offence meant I assure you.I said he's one of my favorite players but seemed a bit weird, what is unfair or inappropriate about that?
Not a 'dark secret' admittedly but that does at least provide a personal insight. I'm unable to offer a view given I never met the bloke.I met and spoke with Vincent Kompany on a couple of occasions. I have to agree with @yankblue, he came across as a rather 'odd' and somewhat 'self-interested' character. Much like a few other foreign players I've met over the years.
Whether or not you would consider this as a 'dark secret' is up to you
Kyle Walker without pace is zinchenkoKyle walker is terrible. He can't cross or even pass. If he didn't have pace he'd be nowhere near this team
An unpopular opinion. Good point. What an unpleasant thread
That is fact… it was Leeds UnitedWe didnt have the tallest ever floodlights at maine road?
Agree with all these, especially Mpenza. Scored the goals that kept us up under Pearce.I have a few:
- Kompany is one of my favorite players, but there was something off about him. Nothing malicious, maybe he is just a weird guy.
- Mpenza was one of the most important signings in recent memory. His goals kept us up. Without them, there's no Thaskin takeover, and who knows where we'd be now.
- If, *if*, Pep and the club brass knew about Mendy and continued to keep him in the squad, that deserves loads of criticism. There's innocent until proven guilty, and "this guy has nine rape allegations against him".
That's not a controversial opinion, it's a sensible one. On the telly I barely notice the commentators usually. I sometimes wonder if that insecurity and and paranoia is unique to City fans. The one that drives me crazy is the "biased commentator" complaint in every single match thread. If we're playing against relegation fodder OF COURSE the commentators are going to get excited if the massive underdog is showing signs of life. They're there to put on an entertaining TV show not massage our insecurities as a supporter base and it doesn't matter. Get over it and enjoy the amazing football we play every week without sounding like a child.
