Last time we went there, my wife and I were sat in the observation bar enjoying a beverage as we sailed towards Russia. I noticed a small object ahead that appeared to be travelling in the same direction at a slower speed. As we got nearer I realised it was a submarine and told my wife and our waiter. Within seconds the whole of the bar staff and waiters were at the windows and remained there until we passed it.

He has invaded already. Crimea is part of Ukraine. Just because the west didn't do anything doesn't mean it wasn't an invasion. He has advanced further into Ukraine overnight so he's mearly strengthening his earlier invasion.

Point of order. The Sochi winter Olympics lasted from 7 to 23 February 2014 and the Russian troops went into Crimea on 27 February. They deliberately waited until the Sochi event was over.

Moving the CL final seems inevitable. As someone who lives and works in St Petersburg, I'd suggest that his native city losing the right fo host the final would piss the Russian President off more than most of the economic sanctions the west is likely to impose on him. For that reason, it has to be the right decision (even though I'd love loved to see City in that match a few miles from where I live).

Yes, over recent months, I've become rather attached to the idea of us winning it for the first time up the road from me in Manchester's first ever twin city. Especially so as that arrangement has its 60th anniversary this year.

Still, last year, I was much taken that we'd win in Porto as my old man was clearly dying (he eventually did six weeks later). Loved the idea City could send him off as European champions. Look how that turned out!

Probably best for City if the final has no personal resonance for me. Right thing to shift it, an' all!

Estonians do have a two tier system for citizenship depending where your parents are from and moved there which could be seen by some as racism. It therefore precludes some citizens born there of EU treaty rights due to their lineage.
