As the last few weeks rolled by and when we drew at Saints it was obvious the dippers and the media would get giddy. After all 8 points gap was ‘game over’ with the cheats out of sight and 6 points ‘game on’ with the plucky scamps on our tail.
I thought that the first dropped points after Saints would be critical. If it were the dippers I could see them tailing off.
Now we have to hold our nerve and start another winning run. Get behind the team and hang on to the sides. I do think the dippers will drop more points, we’ve been here before and it’s still in our hands.
All of the above is dead obvious but it’s taken me three days to get over Spurs and to actually think straight.
ps don’t watch or listen to the match tonight. It will be a dipper canter.
