and Sergei now that you are sergeant in the Russian Army you can go hand to hand combat in Ukraine - win it for Mother Russia - meet your rivals
tbf, I was wrong about the States having robust protocols in place! No you’re right.

And that’s the US. I suspect protocols are certainly no more onerous in Russia.

West surely makes more money from a guerrilla war supplying the Ukrainians then actively supporting them with troops.
Christ this thing moves fast, apparently the fighter jets EU promised for Ukraine are already there or on the way!
You’re right that it relies on a chain of command following orders but theoretically the President can simply order a strike and only the Defense Secretary needs to go along with it, and if he doesn’t the President can fire him and appoint someone who will. I assume that in Trump’s case there were some unofficial protocols in place because everyone knew he was fucking insane. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is on record saying that no, Trump couldn’t just decide to nuke someone and make it happen.
I’ll trust him over some blog site.
Good evening Alan, probably not at all would be my best uneducated guess. When is the best time to invest in Roubles in the next couple of weeks?
And then get shot by someone who doesn't believe, but has gone along with it so far, there'll be plenty of them believe me.What concerns me most is encapsulated by this quote from the BBC:
<Putin> cannot afford to fail or else he knows his time in power will almost certainly be over, leaving a legacy of humiliation and defeat.
So how do we get him to back down? Surely we need to find a way to let him save face or he will never give in, and on the contrary, will just get increasingly desperate, and dangerous.
They're defending NATO and the EU, they'll be paying nothing.Where are the Ukraine going to get the money from to pay for these arms. Their currency is shot to pieces and isnt worth the paper its printed on.

This reminds me of the walls closing in around Nixon in 1974 with global life and death stakes as opposed to merely national constitutional ones. What concerns me most is encapsulated by this quote from the BBC:

Bingo, this is where you hope the really clever diplomats are working behind the scenes. Fingers crossed. What concerns me most is encapsulated by this quote from the BBC:

Send them all to Oz, were short of just about everything in the workforce.why? what is stopping him? can someone explain what stops him being as generous as other leaders?
