Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Pep should stay until 2023. We‘ll need fresh start, new ideas, energy and motivation.
I want him to stay, but i also believe he needs to be a little more flexible in his approach and maybe reinvent himself a touch.I genuinely think he could get more out of his squad if he wasn't so restrictive.

True great leadership comes from the ability to constantly evolve.

Teams are beginning to adapt and adjust to our present style and he will reinvent and tweak this preseason. With the arrival of 2 new attackers( especially the big man ) being the catalyst to drive these changes.

I am predciting we struggle a wee bit at first , the red shirt‘s propaganda machine and some soft twats on here will begin to doubt his sanity , we find our form and this time next year the quadruple will be a distinct possibility.

I don't think your reasoning is off but it's worth noting that Pep didn't have it as easy as you'd think media-wise in his former roles.

At Bayern he was constantly getting sniped because of how his methods weren't necessarily the 'Bayern way'. And he received a lot more scrutiny for failing to win the CL than he has here.

At Barcelona there was so much hatred from the Madrid section of the media (remember the time he ranted at Mourinho?), plus he was getting asked too much about Barcelona's political mess that he was pissed off.

The English media is more like high school drama. Lots of sly comments and frequent unfavourable views but it's nowhere near the shit he had to deal with elsewhere.
The English media are pussies compared to the Spanish and as mc city stated, Bayern was full of ex playing tax dodgers who were happy to tell Pep that he was not doing it the "Bavarian way"

Win Europe and he won't stay after end of his contract. Although if we sign a big name striker I feel it may make him change his mind & he will extend even if lifting European Cup.

Obviously Pep wants to win the Champions League but I honestly don't think winning it would make him think, "right that's it, job done." I think he's more interested in whether the team is the best it can possibly be and improving himself as a manager/coach. He's in a perfect working environment with full support from everyone at the club and as long as he feels happy and motivated, I think he'll want to stay.

Guess Pep will stay for another 3 years if we sign Haaland. Pep has probably promised Haaland and his representatives that he'll sign an extension if Haaland moves to City.

Pep hasn't had a proper striker for years. Aguero his last 2 years was injured or simply not in the games for the vast majority of the time. Would be nice to see what he's capable of if Haaland puts on blue for more than just one more campaign... maybe alot of the "Pep's overthinking/ inflexible twaddle will be in the bin. Kind of hard to be flexible when you have zero true/ fully fit strikers for 3 seasons running.
