He's not claiming that we'll only sign him on a 2 or 3 year deal (not even he would be that dumb to claim that). It will be a 6 year deal regardless.Ballbag chats some shit, making out that no player would want to stay at City long if Real and Barca are in for you. As if we'll only offer him a 2 or 3 year deal, it will be either 4 or 5 you English club hating idiot
Why would they want to test a theory they know to be bullshit? If Madrid want to test out his theory then why don't they tell Benzema to do one and try and take on us for Haaland, ultimately ending up with neither of them.
Udd like too say thats a home run1/33 with Skybet now!
He said we played the card of “you can stay 2 or 3 years with us and go to Madrid afterwards”lolHe's not claiming that we'll only sign him on a 2 or 3 year deal (not even he would be that dumb to claim that). It will be a 6 year deal regardless.
Nobody who pays any attention listens to him, the papers just hire him because they like the narrative.I don't know how anyone can read or listen to what Balague says. The guy comes across like he licks his fingers after he knocks one out. He's insufferable.
True, but it's also a pretty open league that gives you more of a basketball vibe in the way teams go back and forth.
I'm gonna reign it in though because it's starting to sound like I'm casting doubt over him and just being negative about him for the sake of it. He's an elite player and it will be exciting to have a player like that in this league.
I hear what you're saying , but I also think what he said was also true to an extent. RM and Barca are massive draws for the majority of players.Ballague really is a bitter bastard, and a text book Madrista.
His rant is a copy and paste of what we’ve been discussing on BM since City have been after Haaland. There is no substance to his thoughts, and certainly nothing new.
He’s another football pundit, bullshitter, stealing a living. But this time he’s Spanish, and he’s up Madrids arse!
BBC United at Mediacity have given him the platform to inform and enlighten the nation as to why Haaland may have chosen City over Real Madrid.
I won’t link the article. Parts of the article are below.
'If Benzema wasn't there, Haaland would be a Real player'
"Something has happened in the last couple of weeks, something called Benzema, that has turned the mind of Haaland into 'you know what, I can go to Madrid in two or three years'.
"And that, by the way, was the proposal that City put to him. Not only was it the most attractive financial proposition, they also said 'you're young, stay with us for two or three years, we'll use you well, meanwhile Real Madrid will always be there'.
"If Benzema was not there, [Haaland] would be a Real Madrid player," he added. "The attractiveness of Real Madrid - I would add Barcelona as well - goes beyond any money that Manchester City can offer.
Madrid having issues with Mbappe , Mbappe wants to own all his image rights. Madrid don’t want that.
Its you being pessimisticIs it me being very pessimistic or anyone worried about the recent developments regarding Mbappe and PSG?
If he decides to stay then Madrid will go for haaland with full strength for sure. Hopefully we get it done before that Mbappe tug of war..
Their were two instances vs the scousers where KDB crossed and if we were having a conventional striker it would have been a tap in and scoreline could have been 4-2 instead of 2-2. Haaland would suit us just fine and if he is available for the majority of next season he could well get above 30 goals mark.
I think it's natural to think this way. Let's face it, as much as people say it's done, it's not.Is it me being very pessimistic or anyone worried about the recent developments regarding Mbappe and PSG?

It's fairly common knowledge though that City's policy is not to stand in the way of players that want to leave. It may well have been a negotiating tactic to say well let him go rather than meet demands for a low buyout clause for instanceHe said we played the card of “you can stay 2 or 3 years with us and go to Madrid afterwards”lol
I wouldn't worry Kun/Dave wouldn't have expected to be here for all their career (well Dave not quite), if he likes it with us, is performing etc he'll be here 'forever' if not, he's not.Let us hope that the bollocks that he is coming for 2 or 3 seasons and is fucking of to Madrid is just that. Hopefully he signs a 5 year contract with a 150/200 million release clause.
