My main concern is Casemiro being back. But our midfield should hold them off any day of the week.
why?Madrid dont worry me. Ref does.
Trained today. Stones didntSorry must have missed it. Is there any news on Walker ?
I think Cancelo does a little more of that than ZinchenkoI'm worried about Zinchenko giving away penalties or stupid fouls right outside our box. He has the habit of getting a little over-excited and making stupid challenges which could cost us very, very dear.
I don't.I think Cancelo does a little more of that than Zinchenko
Zinchy ? NeverI'm worried about Zinchenko giving away penalties or stupid fouls right outside our box. He has the habit of getting a little over-excited and making stupid challenges which could cost us very, very dear.
Stones in the travelling squad
Oh I do hope not.Think this will be a fascinating game, and we'll put in a great performance.
The team will be very close to the predicted in the OP. Sterling may start ahead of Mahrez, though.
Stones is in ours. They have to be in the squad to get in dressing room on UCL match day. I remember Sergio Ramos being suspended and he was still in the squad last time.
Sterling played really well on Saturday, a whole lot better than Mahrez did in the first leg.Oh I do hope not.
And invinciblesTheoretically you can draw all your league games in the UCL but go through on goals scored and then draw every knock out tie & win on penalties, similar the final, where as the league if you draw 38 games you are relegation candidates.
Will be singing WonderwallGoing to support the lads
And yet all the bookies have us as strong favourites. Anyone would think the English media don't want us to qualify. Which I can't believeEvery single bit of build up in the English media i've seen over the last few days has Madrid going through. They nearly all reluctantly say City could well go through, but all end with they have a feeling Madrid will qualify. Nothing really to back that up with other than Madrid are dangerous and suddenly we have a bad defense. All forgetting City ripped Madrid to shreds for 90 minutes and 2 of their 3 goals were down to brain farts from normally solid players.
He doesnt even know how to use his 'pace'Sterling played really well on Saturday, a whole lot better than Mahrez did in the first leg.
The team pretty much picks itself depending on the fitness of the fullbacks.
I think the only decision to make is Sterling or Mahrez, and going off current form, I’d go for Sterling.
He looked really eager to impress on Saturday and think his pace in behind will be a real threat, and he works much harder than Mahrez.
agreed , i think we'll score 2 goals . everyone has to do their jobs though . strange to say but Sterling deserves a start .Pretty confident. We played them off the park for the most part last week and proved we're a better team. They're only still in it because of that Fernandinho error, and it should be a different kettle of fish with Walker at right back (I'm hoping he bullies Vinicius tbh and don't see why he shouldn't).
Few players rested on Sat. Everyone looking up for it. Ruben and Walker back. Kev and Foden in top form. I think we'll get a couple of goals and won't concede more than that. Just nothing daft please (that goes for Pep with the lineup and Eddie being too casual playing out)
