This will be a horrible game where we'll play like a broken team and Newcastle will have moments of joy. Any scrappy win will do and if we do manage to win it will be scrappy, team wise Ederson, Cancelo, Zinchenko, Dias, Ake, Rodri, Gundogan, Palmer, Sterling, Jesus, Grealish

Hard to fathom how many of our players look physically tired recently whereas the dippers look as fresh as they did last August.
Maybe it's because they know they'll be playing and have to prepare and get used to that realisation. They then accept it and get on with it.
Ours seem to want mollycoddling and wrapping in cotton wool. We oblige.
Mind you, some on here think 2 games a week is a return to the looms.

Newcastle looked just as knackered in the home game against the dips and they have put in a huge amount of effort in keeping themselves clear of the trap door.

Newcastle have a full week of rest.

Full weeks rest and they have some quick players on the counter. Hopefully we can get an early goal

Would be interesting to see Palmer and Gundo, experience and youthful skill , I don’t think Palmer would let us down and it gives Kdb and Bernardo a rest

Fingers crossed we’ll be fine, we bounced back after that Spurs CL loss with a win against them at the weekend in a must win game.

At least its on Sunday rather than Saturday. We will need that extra day to get over last night, physically and mentally. We’ve had a couple of tricky games in recent years after being knocked out of the CL and shown plenty of spirit to win those games.

Going to be difficult for the players to pick themselves up after last night, but hopefully it'll act as motivation as it did in 2018/19. Most of the players who played the full 120 last night will need resting. Need to fans to be up for this one though to help them over the line.

sterling should be nowhere near for the rest of the season imo as he has seemingly already checked out at us now!

Spurs will lie down for the Dippers, have no doubt.

Very confident of winning the two home games, have a horrible feeling we will draw with Wolves or the Hammers.

I do fancy Chelsea to beat the Dippers in the cup final though.

Need to freshen up the team for Newcastle. Drop the unfit and tired players with a couple of youngsters.
