Bond films

The Dalton ones are brilliant. Ahead of their time.

A view to a kill is a cheeky favourite of mine, Moore was too old though and had dalton done this one it may even be a top 3 one. Certainly had the best theme.
All I ever wanted to see in a Dalton bond film was him having to blow up the swamp to save the world ;-)

I disagree, early bond and even moores first one were quite slick, then they went for cimedy, Dalton, arguably the best bond followed the grittiness of the novels and was ahead of it's time, brosnan went gimicky, the reboot with Casino Royale seemed we wpuld get a more daltonesque grittier bond again, but it reverted back to cheesy action shite of Brosnan.

I agree about Dalton - very good Bond films.

Craig's first one was excellent, the second one lost its way pretty badly.
Skyfall was okay but not much of a "Bond" film.
Spectre was pretty good though with a top level actor as Blofeld only for NTTD to just bin him. Rotten casting of Andrew "I'm pretty much always this nasally whiny wrong 'un, so don't trust me" Scott, so soon after his identical Sherlock turn.

The last two seemed a bit strange in whether he was a spy or wanted to be happy with Swann, or was pining after Vesper. I don't think the links between them work that well.
It doesn't seem to know whether Bond is a hardened spy or a soppy lovestruck guy torn between two women (one of whom is dead). By the end he's just Special Ops Jason Bourne with an assault rifle, with no real spy-Bond goal - it's back to personal revenge mission against another grotesque villain a la Skyfall with an awful plan, terrible defences and some poorly drawn minor villains. And it's far, far too long.

Moore’s Films were utterly shit, but enjoyable.

Is "Never say never again" a proper Bond film? I'm not counting it. Whilst it doesn't have the MGM rights it is cheesy and intense. Lacks the comedy of original Bonds
