Bond films

He thought hes made it. Fucked, smoked and drank everything he could.

Naturally he regrets it now.

Was a knob to the film crew as well. Had nothing comical about him

I disagree, I like it, pity I crashed out, but in my defence, three bottles of wine had been consumed.
It's a latter stage moore/pearce brosnan standard of a plot with more holes in it than swiss cheese dressed up with a pretence of a serious action movie.

Replace Craig with brosnan and you wouldn't tell it wasn't made straight after goldeneye.

You have just described every Bond film. You accept that as the norm and enjoy it with those limitations you mentioned. Life too short.

Skyfall is the worst Bond movie out there. Watch it again and realize that Bond does literally nothing in this movie. It’s literally acted around him. Fails in everything he does in it. It’s a gorgeous movie that forgot James Bond is meant to be it’s star.
That's why I like it though. It's the first Bond film where the lead is basically M.

With all the Bond experts gathered... Let's address the elephant in the room.

Is the new one (No Time to Die) actually any good and more importantly is it a 'Bond film'?

After watching the travesty that was the sequel films for Star Wars. I approach any modern films of classic franchises with the upmost caution. Which means I'm too cowardly to actually watch it.

Reading between the lines and the snippets of info I've seen it sounds like Bond is outshone by one of the female characters in terms of what classic Bond should be about and presumably this was why there was all this talk about the next Bond being a woman in the next installment.

Not sure if the next one is true but apparently the most 'cuddling' Bond does in NTTD is with his girlfriend who's wearing a cardigan? If that's true then to me it doesn't sound like a Bond film.

Do I have good reason to be worried?
