I'd suggest the biggest problem is that PSG have lost €600m in the last 3 seasons and Neymar's getting a lot of money from them.

Secondly I get the sense he'd like to move away and take another run at the top trophies before he's past it.

He's also been injured for about a 1/3rd of his career at PSG.

And if you're being really cynical, ask how many of the Brazilian superstars have made football a priority past 30? Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Robinho, Kaka, Adriano...all washed up by 30.

I just cant shake the feeling he's got some big injury/off field issue they can't fix and that's why he seems to be available so incredibly cheap for who he is. His ego, demands and attitude have never seemed an issue with them before.

Neymar is still one of the world's very best players. I'm certain he would be a huge success here.

I agree that it probably won't happen, but not because of a lack of quality on his part.

it was job done for Qatar when they used him as am abassador for the world cup? Rumour is once the world cup is done the investment in PSG will become minimal as it was only purchased to use them to get more exposure in football?

He means that the money paid for him will be offset somewhat by the money he brings in. The Actual reason to sign him is because he's one of the best players in the world.

Not necessairly. It would have been embarassing for them to let him go in a world cup year. So whatever they have paid him just needed to cover this 12mths. For all we know he will be gone in two years.

If they were withdrawing funds, they wouldn’t have given him half a billion pound contract (or whatever the figures actually are)

I understand the point you are making here, but 'Great' players do not come to the MLS (which for the most part is shite and I have seen a lot of it, being an ex-ST holder at Atlanta Utd) and certainly not anywhere near their pomp.
