It's a decent fee no doubt but when everything coming out was holding firm for £50m it's disappointing to see it less than that.

I thought this would be the transfer we wouldn't buckle on given his quality, regardless of the contract situation.

With Alverez who I think is under estimated to date, it’s a great window already.

Phillips fee is probably £10-15 million too high imo. The extra is unlikely to kill us though. Adds the depth we need in that area and although he's not exactly lightening quick he has more mobility than Rodri which the alternative to him had to have. Let's hope he is never as bad for us as he was in an England shirt against Hungary as that was a shitshow.

Are you really going to judge a player on that performance and ignore what has been a very promising international career to that point?

I think Salah is the wrong type player if we’re going full on inverted winger next season. If this is our plan it’s better to move Foden to rw and buy a right footed lw (Neymar!).

Agreed…Our boys where some of the worst, when you think we signed Ferna for £28M 9 years ago, then this fee stacks up well even if he achieves half of what Ferna did

Every report coming from Liverpools end is that he’s settled in England and doesn’t want to uproot his family. Plus his agent is pushing him to stay here. It’s why the dippers are incredibly worried.
