It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Maybe good relations with Leeds can help?
Ofc. Nothing is confirmed yet. Raphinha is struggling to choose between Tottenham and arsenal. But if city joins it's a no brainer for him. I think we can get him cheaper that others as well. Like philips rejected bids from other pl clubs offering much more

We spent the entirety of last season missing a striker to replace Aguero. Haaland fills that gap. Alvarez replaces Jesus as a versatile forward player. Palmer, we were told in January, replaced Torres in the squad. Now we're being told he's replacing Sterling as well.

If we do choose not to replace Sterling (looks likely), we'll be losing an important dimension to our attack. I'm sure Pep will tweak things, but I'd like a bit of pace.

With Mahrez's age and contract situation, there's a ready made place for Palmer to take as his successor, (the same goes for Gundo and McAtee).

I really don't believe signing a new winger this summer would harm his development, especially with 5 subs and a ridiculous schedule. Don't forget he can play in midfield too.

Never gotten the hype with Raphinha to be honest, nowhere near as good as folk think.

Flashy though, so Arsenal fans will rim him mercilessly. Good fit so.
Facts but he is a genuine right winger unlike leao(lw) felix(ss) and he is good in 1v1 against defenders

I can see McAtee possibly being included in the Cucurella deal ….
If your right a hope it's a loan and not permanent, sure I've read somewhere Pep wants to integrate him slowly this year similar to how he worked with Foden.

Cucurella late on next week then? Imagine being possibly done in the transfer market for the 1st July like khaldoon stated he would like? If Sterling goes as expected alongside Jesus then surely we will look to add another wide player?
I don't know if we will or not. Think it will be down to Pep , if he says he's happy to use Palmer, we will if he says he needs another in we probably will. I'm fairly confident we're good for next season once we have a left back whichever way the club / Pep decide.

It’s a possibility on loan - and Brighton would be a fantastic move for him.

He’d get some excellent PL experience under a manager who has his team playing a fluid, passing, possession based game.

I can’t see us letting him go on a permanent deal though. It seems the Club has him marked out as the next in line for the first team after Palmer.

Most definitely mate, we have plenty of options player wise but not many winger types?
I trust pep and city after they won the last two pl without a striker so I’m sure they have a plan here and prefer not to rush into a bad mistake
