There was me thinking the name of the game was scoring goals. So is Merson calling Gabby a 'serial misser'?

Yep, spending massive money without anyone noticing. This was mentioned last year when it turns out they were quietly the 5th highest spenders in Europe since 2012/13 (way higher than Chelsea and Liverpool), the highest spenders last summer, and well on their way to being the biggest spenders again this summer.

Add Everton and Aston Villa to that list, btw, who both outspent Chelsea over the same period, even factoring in Lukaku.

Interestingly, Leeds, Wolves and Brighton all outspent Real Madrid on transfers at a time that they won 5 Champions League titles. Which kinda highlights why looking at just transfer spending is clearly bollocks, incidentally.

Crazy! Maybe we've been doing it all wrong apart from Raz, as he does that perfectly :)

Not bizarre in the least, you want those players who dont shy away and step up and keep working
 
If Jesus ever scores against us he should do the Adebayor run and slide and instead of rabid cockneys we just laugh and applaud. Obviously it'd have to be a consolation goal to make it 6-1 but still.
 
Wish him all the best. Always plays with the heart of a lion. Will remember him fondly as the one who scored the record 100th goal.

Personally think he can do better than Arsenal. Good luck to his future.

Even the top strikers miss chances all the time.

I have seen Salah smack the ball straight at the keeper in 1v1s more times than I count but you don't hear anyone talking about how he's a bad finisher (which he is not, obviously).

Somehow when it's a City player, it gets blown out of proportion.
 
Any player that leaves to go to fucking Arsenal is dead to me!

Let’s hope the move is crap for all parties. Same goes for sterling.
