But he also shouldn't make that video because it would be contrived and fake!

Almost like people want to have a go at him no matter what he does.

I've said it before... The lad's whole attitude seemed to change after his 'fight' with Gomez on England duty. He's come across as being somewhat detached from team mates (England and City) since then. Look at goal and title celebrations... he's not really part of the 'gang', and, compared to Gabriel Jesus, seems to me to be on the edge of everything.

His head hasn't been at City for two years. His heart has never been at City. His heart was never at Liverpool, and it won't be at Chelsea either.

There's nothing wrong with that. He's just a professional doing a job. He gets fed up at work just like the rest of us.

He should just smile and wave when he leaves. Anything else would be fake.

Think it started when he question Pep about certain players not playing compared to someone else who doesn’t.. think that was around 18 months ago

Yep. Constantly looking to improve his game and one of the hardest working players in the league. There’s a reason he’s had so much success despite a few glaring flaws in his game.

The same people won’t be saying both them things will they. Different opinions are allowed. You’re one of many that defends his every move whilst others aren’t big fans of his. Isn’t an issue is it.

Night of the derby last year.

I ran out of patience with him when he flashed his arse at Barca before Christmas. He’s a model professional and just doing his job so my affection for him is a mirror image of his for us. He’s moving for his own reasons and good luck to him before I don’t think we are weaker next season compared to last and I don’t think Chelsea are stronger either so it’s a good deal all round as far as I’m concerned.
 
Raz has been an important part of the Pep era. He has scored some vital goals and made huge contributions for the success we have had. He has also been frustrating at times. He seemed to be really enjoying it here while Sane was here. I think a pivotal moment for me may have been that lecture from Pep after the FA Cup final when we won live on TV.

He has become a pretty untouchable since he called out the press, and is doing work to promote himself and his work with disadvantaged communities.

I've spoken to people who have regularly sat in a box not too far from his box and they say his family are not too interested in how City are doing unless he scores.

I won't give him legendary status but he sure has been a great contributor and I'll thank him for his efforts.

I don’t think Raheem is the type of guy who’d do a leaving video, certainly off his own back. I think he enjoyed his time here but I can’t see him having the affection towards the club that other players have had which is a shame when someone spends so long at a club whilst winning countless trophies

You know fine well what I mean and I know what you mean, there really is no reason for us to do the whole intelectual bulshitting each other bit.

Obviously Haaland improves us massively. He was brought in with Gaby and Sterling here, that is now changing, and weakens us imo. We can argue whether overall or not, but certainly from how we were going into the season two weeks ago, and from what we could and should be, having fixed one make do situation to replace it with another.

Plenty of time left in the window for lots to change, lets see how it all plays out and we can revisit at the start of the season.

Raheem Sterling is the example of a player who has had the media trying to bring him down ever since he made it big. He's suffered countless instances of racist abuse from inside and outside the stadium by gammon fans of all different clubs, including ours.

I am a brutally honest person. So I will let you in on a little secret. Before I came to Manchester City, I didn’t really know what to make of this Raheem Sterling guy. I had never met him, and from what I’d read about him in the English press, I thought he was going to be a very different character.

I didn’t think he’d be a bad guy, really. But the tabloids were always claiming that he was arrogant. So I guess I thought he’d be … what do the English call it?

A bit of a dickhead, maybe?

Raheem and I have this strong connection, because we arrived at City around the same time, and there was a lot of negativity about us in the press. They said I was “the Chelsea reject.” They said Raheem was this flashy guy who left Liverpool for money. They said we were difficult characters.

Of course, when you read this stuff about yourself, you think, Me? I’m not difficult. This is ridiculous. These people don’t even know me! But honestly, when you read about other players, it influences the way you think. You can’t help it.

Then I got to City and I actually met Raheem, and we’d talk a bit after training, and I thought, Wait, this guy seems really cool? What’s the story here?

Truthfully, I don’t have many close friends — inside or outside of football. It takes me a really long time to open up to people. But over time, I got closer to Raheem, because our sons were born around the same time, so they would always play together. I really got to know Raheem, and I recognized what a smart and genuine person he is. He couldn’t be more different from what the tabloids were saying.

This is the real truth: Raheem is one of the nicest, most humble guys I’ve met in football.

So you think Pep is wrong if Pep thinks they don’t need replacing?
 
Alvarez is key in this equation. If he hits the ground running, we've replaced Sterling's productivity (which admittedly was diminishing). If he doesn't, then it could be risky.

Either way, I trust the numbers will be made up and more so.
