Raise money to register their free signings…They sold a bunch of (image?)rights apparently and managed to raise money.

Yeah, got a bit of 'walker' about his physicality and athleticism. I wouldnt be against this move. Can only infer that city rate him highly and would want him back around the squad after a year of PL Experience
Indeed. If ones having a quiet day the other one could step up! Exciting times...The fox will go nicely with the fucking Great White we have bought.
With or without the fox, City will be feeding, no doubt!

Liverpool just sold one of their youth prospects for a similar fee.Is he that good, yeah? Not seen anything of him but that’s a big bid to be rejecting.
Exactly. Most other clubs would keep him for this reason......therefore sell with buy back incoming!Total different player more of a midfielder minded player Pep will use him wide! Delap is the only player who is similar to Haaland and out and out striker…
Say we 3/4 up Haaland with a couple means we can take Haaland off after 70/75mins and came home fresh and fit!
For me I’d be totally shocked if we let Delap go…

We know that we’ll only sell him if they offer a package worth £50m+, which for a 4th choice centre back is money that no team in the world ought to reject. It can be re-invested and the squad can be even better. I like Ake, but if the money’s good, it’s a no brainer to sell and pick up another 4th choice CB for less money.
Lot of competition with Livramento & Walker-Peters though. I’d take the 17m personally. Can only infer that city rate him highly and would want him back around the squad after a year of PL Experience
Would he want the competition though?Bayern after Matthijs de Ligt and fee quoted is 51m yep if we went for him he be one our first choice players but for that fee of Ake goes it’s an opportunity we shouldn’t miss out on!
CFG working miracles again
£17mil for a player we bought for what, £3mil?
Absolutely loving how much this is gonna fuck people off
We won't be spending a penny this year....can see Dippers/Rags/Barca frothing at the mouth...sure they'll scream we are "hoarding talent'" or "financial doping" even with the Dippers selling that Nico Williams for £15mil
The "5 year net spend" has always included that 17/18 summer, that's about to go and everyone will see just how well we are run and just how we are not going anywhere
Walker-Peters has been playing left back mostly, and Livramento did his ACL not expected back till 2023Lot of competition with Livramento & Walker-Peters though. I’d take the 17m personally.
Yep he was one of the breakout players at AFCON, opened a lot of people’s eyes to his progress - and that probably includes many at CityYoung player of the tournament at the AFCON. Bit raw, but very good prospect.
Maybe a loan to buy so they pay next yearThat’s a lot of money to say no to, Angelino went for less.
Fair enough. It’s great we’re at a stage we can turn down 17m for a player who hasn’t played a single minute for us. We must rate him highly.Walker-Peters has been playing left back mostly, and Livramento did his ACL not expected back till 2023
i name checked the departures of both Sterling and Jesus, not just Sterling, so why did you make it a Sterling thing?I know what you said...he needs to be replaced...I am responding to the idea that his departure will affect our point total...after moving Torres who basically missed the entire Fall with injury we proceeded with Mahrez, Foden, Sterling, Gabby, and Grealish as Palmer was injured the entire Spring...now we have Haaland, Mahrez, Foden, Grealish, Alvarez, and Palmer...please explain how we are weaker in attack...I think people on here are losing sight of just how good Haaland is...he is far and away the best pure goal scorer on the squad capable of equalling or exceeding Raz and Gabby's combined 30 goals himself...Mahrez may drop off a bit, but Foden will only get better and Grealish should improve dramatically in year 2...adjustment or no adjustment a player of Alvarez' ability surrounded by this cast will do some damage and likewise for young Cole...I'm actually expecting City to exceed last year's goal total both overall and in the league...
What money are they buying Bernardo with?
