Haha that tickled me more than it should.Shaves like a knob as well
Whatever mate, you not answering a simple question, tells me all I need to know about you and your judgements on this forum.Have a think about your question and ask yourself is it stupid.
Why not compare his stats to our record signing. Tell me what does Jack need to do next season to be considered a great signing if Sterling is considered a failure with 13 pl goals and 6 assists this season past, like you said missing sitters and only scoring 13 goals isn't good enough, and his decision making is poor having only assisted 6 goals ? Its an honest question ? Im all ears. Or perhaps your sugesting he doesn't need to score goals or assist. Some may be biased, but I believe that most of those who aren't nuts about Sterling feel the way they do because they are comparing him to other players in his role such as Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., Salah and such and imagining what a player of that ilk could do playing in this squad...his lack of technical skill, poor decision making with the ball, etc. stands out among his teammates and not in a good way especially when playing against a low block...this idea that he's some extraordinary player off the ball is a bit of a myth fabricated by his most fervent supporters to offset his aforementioned shortcomings...if your playing up top on this squad, are not a primary distributor and don't know to move to the vacant spots no matter how tight the windows are when KDB, Foden, Bernardo, etc. are on the ball then honestly what else are you doing? The reality is he does miss more sitters than the rest of the squad combined...131 goals in all comps over 7 years on its own is a very good return (18.7/year)...some think he's a superstar...others think he's massively flawed and over-rated...the truth is he's probably somewhere in between...while everyone notes how much he'll be missed let's ask him in January how much he misses KDB, Bernardo, Foden and the rest of our guys...
I'm not bashing Grealish at all!, I'm just asking people what a really good season would be for jack numbers wise if they are slagging Sterling for producing 13 goals and 6 assists in his poorest season. The fact people are hard on numbers says it all. Grealish had quite a few good games towards the end without adding to a goal or an assist tally. Does that mean he didn’t contribute or play well? Stats will tell half a story, Sterling’s had many stinkers and might have tapped one in at the end. Wolves away springs to mind. I think Sterling benefited massively to being in this city side due to his one world class asset, movement and positioning. It allows him to get good numbers whilst fluffing many chances, it will be interesting to see how he does at Chelsea. Grealish is a different player, technically light years ahead of Sterling but doesn’t have his awareness yet. Time will tell on both fronts but mad you’re bashing a current player to defend one heading out the door. There can be an in between with sterling, many hate him weirdly and he also has many obsessed fan boys who won’t say a bad word about him. Never known a player have that perception ever.
Grealish could score 0 goals and 0 assist and can still have a better season than sterling last season. like people said football is not about stats. its about how you contribute to the overall game in all phases of the game for the full 90 mins which sterling failed to do in the past few seasons. No-one has had the bottle to answer it so far?
Really? why did he say in a interview at the end of the season that he needed to score more goals and produce more?Grealish could score 0 goals and 0 assist and can still have a better season than sterling last season. like people said football is not about stats. its about how you contribute to the overall game in all phases of the game for the full 90 mins which sterling failed to do in the past few seasons.
Bang on!Sly Sports News have just shown some of goals Raheem has scored for City. No, Sly Sports didn’t shown his misses. Arf! F*ck me, Raheem has scored some brilliant and important goals for City every season since signing for City after leaving Liverpool.(think about that) How any City fan can criticize Raheem is beyond me and probably the vast majority of City fans who have appreciated Raheem‘s goals, his work rate, and the trophies he has won for City.
that is his personal goals to get good headlines. pep does not care about stats only he looks at the overall contribution.Really? why did he say in a interview at the end of the season that he needed to score more goals and produce more?
Perhaps i misunderstood and he actually meant more sideways passes or he needed to win more free kicks? Sorry but the fancy runs are nice, you could say they are the icing on the cake, but it's the goals and assists that win games, they are the stats that count.
Sterling did plenty of runs aswell, but they don't count to you and others it would seem when it's Raheem?
That miss against Lyon in Chumps quarters still upsets meI’ll always remember that those last-minute winners, and I’ll never forget those open-goal misses.
Where did I say Sterling is a failure? I tried to explain why some fans don't fancy him...if you ask me a question that makes some sort of sense I'll be more than happy to give you an answer...you want to compare Sterling to Grealish in what way? Grealish can play as an 8 and drive an offense...he's elite from a technical standpoint as are KDB, Bernardo, Foden, Mahrez, and Cancelo...Sterling relies more on pace and playing predominantly on the receiving end of things...I believe he's a good pro, but not a super star...far too many holes in his game for me...Why not compare his stats to our record signing. Tell me what does Jack need to do next season to be considered a great signing if Sterling is considered a failure with 13 pl goals and 6 assists this season past, like you said missing sitters and only scoring 13 goals isn't good enough, and his decision making is poor having only assisted 6 goals ? That was a doozy, as was the one at Burnley, but he also had a couple against that lot which were unforgivable. That miss against Lyon in Chumps quarters still upsets me
That’s an interesting one. I think you are correct but not entirely.that is his personal goals to get good headlines. pep does not care about stats only he looks at the overall contribution.
It was a stupid question as you well know, but forgive me. I lost sight that you are clearly in mourning. I hope you get over the loss soon, my bad.. Note to self...Whatever mate, you not answering a simple question, tells me all I need to know about you and your judgements on this forum.
Wasting your time. He has manufactured a stupid question and cannot see the wood for the trees in arguing itWhere did I say Sterling is a failure? I can see that...Wasting your time. He has manufactured a stupid question and cannot see the wood for the trees in arguing it
Be careful...I mentioned that one time in a post, once, and some guy jumped all over me, called me a scouser, and said he was putting me on ignore...he went ballistic...like I give two shits...That miss against Lyon in Chumps quarters still upsets me
Imagine thinking Pep instructs them to play the same way.Well when there are people on here slagging Sterling for missing sitters and not laying on a final ball and therefore being poor or rubbish as you say like the season just gone where he only got13 PL goals and 6 PL assists, let's see how those people judge others in the team that have performed nowhere near that level this season just gone.
I fully expect you and others to be on here slagging Grealish if he doesn't get way over 13 goals and 6 assists next season. It wouldn't be fair otherwise would it, if you didn't judge them on the same basis.
