Yeah it was frustrating because he was so good. Sadly Bayern came calling and that was thatmad when you think back and we couldnt afford the £3m fee for Van Buyten!

Gary Flitcroft was my first heartbreak. Then SWP then I became friends with quite a few through work and now I don’t get emotionally invested in players as I know 90% of them will never feel for their club in the same way as the fans.Shaun and van Buyten for me, was so hoping to make that permanent

Yep. I don't think we will miss sterling on the pitch because we have the means to replace anyone. It's the legends it's difficult to lose. The kompany's, Silva's, Aguero, zabs, fern. Those who bleed blue blood. Those who stay a decade. It's hard to replace that as it's about more than talentyeah he was a shining light back in them days mate! How times have changed though now.
Lost sight of reality for merely pointing out his flaws? Flaws that should have been eradicated for a player of his age and stature. I think so.Didn't read past this.
Some of you have well and truly lost sight of reality.
True that. When Shauny Wright left it felt like a bereavement. I felt absolutely gutted as he was my favourite player, and many other blues favourite player.Nothing on when Shauny Wright left for Chelsea. That’s true heartbreak

We actually scored more goals-per-game last season in games Sterling took no part in than games he started. So who will replace his scoring ? Grealish ?
Oh right. Can't disagree there pal.Saying Sterling has only got to where he has in his career because of his pace is not pointing out flaws. It's bullshit.
I asked you what level of goals and assists and you declined to answer?Ask a serious question and I will answer.
Are you sure you're not just reading and believing all the crap about how city have held his career back?A mistake is being made
Yeah that’s a good post.I think that the Sterling/Grealish debate is centred around what we see as fans against stat output.
Sterling obviously has a far higher goals and assists output than Grealish.
Sterling‘s potential to score much higher numbers means fans get frustrated with him. In our system, he has the potential to score 25+ goals a season and 20 assists. At least.
Grealish is new to the way we play and none of us have decided what his ceiling is as of yet, so the jury is still out on Jack.
His partying antics won‘t help him have change in the bank if/when he needs some.
Grealish‘s biggest issue for me is confidence. He comes across as a lovely, relaxed lad, but I don’t think he truly believes he’s is at our level at the moment and therefore doesn’t try as much as his talent allows and plays too safe.
Get the shackles off him and he may blossom, or he may not. Either way, we’d know.
Funny one that. Do you remember hearing the Bishop / Morley rumour (and this was in pre-internet days, so god only knows what kind of attention that would have received today) ?My first hero Ian Bishop leaving in 89 when I was 8 years old hit me hard.
Do you need to talk? We're all here for you.My first hero Ian Bishop leaving in 89 when I was 8 years old hit me hard.
We actually scored more goals-per-game last season in games Sterling took no part in than games he started.
Games Sterling took no part in: 2.87 goals per game
Games Sterling started: 2.56 goals per game
Our goals were not affected when Sterling was not there, we just shared them around the team more.
