Hip Hop/Rap Appreciation thread

Why am I hearing Eminem's style flow on that track??

Not all of it, of course, but I've heard some Mathers stuff sound like this.

Interesting.
I always thought Eminem had his very own style, granted i'm not up to date with anythang he's done in a very, very long time, i liked the witty free stylin type Eminem that would grace the likes of The Wake Up Show etc n leave jaws dropped after spittin straight from the dome.

Think he's over-due a listen by me, might have to click on one of his battle mode tracks that City_Loyal posted up in thread.

Its strange isn't it, like he's wanting them to slip up.

I see from one of his recent ones (faizon) upset Jay-Z so much he responded on Wax on the track he did with Pusha T
Re-watched the 2nd one he done with Chi Ali from about 4 year ago earlier, fuckin horrendous the way special agent vlad kept twisting n twisting the screw threw Chi's temple, as if to mind fuck him n not allow him to move on from what was obviously a very dark point in his life!

He's a very dangerous person and no surprise he's been accused of being a snitch with his interviewing style.

Surprised he's not been really hurt

My Remix tracks I like

Numero Uno is

The original is just as good.

Number 2

Just for Lloyd Banks verse ontop of an already very good song.

Number 3.

The main version I've ever heard.

Number 4

Constantly on shuffle in my running playlist. And a response to The Dogg Pounds NY YY.

Number 5

Kendrick Lamar – “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe ( Jay-Z Remix)” Original was great, then this remix with Jay-Z is something else.

both official remixes are great, as he did a uk version. But Jay-Zs verse was tremendous.

You can also see Kendrick's response to hearing Jay-Zs voice for the first time in a video on the tube.

And then in the remaining order

Future – “Mask Off (Remix)” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrjPzPc1JiY

It's All About the Benjamins (Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdIKQ_sttCg

Diamonds are Forever (remix) feat Jay-Z - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do3iJ6DWvpQ

Terror Squad lean back Remix with Eminem - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7yzEyO7Wnk

Ugod - Stomp Da Roach Bloody beetroots remix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPVYFWyYBkI

Okay, let me ask then; bangers remixed or best producer in the game...?
Quick two remixes (from many more to come) that come to mind are:

EPMD - Never seen before (remix), the original was a banger in it's own right but the remix layered over the Slave - Watching you beat is a fine piece of work that takes it to another level!

EPMD - Never seen before (remix)

Ice Cube - It was a good day (remix), again, the original was a hard act to follow riding on top of The Isley Brothers - Footsteps in the dark n it's funkiness ...however, the remix deserves it's doff for the even more laaaay'd back use of The Staple Singers - Lets do it again, plus the nice lil inclusion of Parliament's - Sir Nose D Voidoffunk one liner of "On another day chasing the noses away"

I use to smoke tree's back then n this version certainly helped a day go by with ease.

Ice Cube - It was a good day (remix)

Luv this mix for it's sample nod of acknowledgement to Towa Tei - Technova, the precursor !

A Tribe Called Quest - Find a way (remash)

And this version simply for the way it's bass boosted with Dilla's fine footprint all over it.

A Tribe Called Quest - Find a way
