Nathan Ake

Shame Ake is away but not a huge lose providing we get in a LB and maybe another CB. As stated by plenty we still have cover within the squad.

Obviously it’s far too early to judge our incoming transfers. Financially we are on fire, squad balance is looking it’s best in recent years. The settling in period might hamper our progress next season. Patient is needed but will be in short supply if we drop points early.

Changes were needed to be made to refresh the team. All else fails get Kev to kick it to Haaland :)

Yep, think he's gone. We have given Chelsea a deadline to come up with an acceptable fee or have told them to forget it.

They are running out of options and we need to make our own moves.

Would not be surprised if this is our biggest ever sale, certainly this summer.
Would acceptable be around 55m you reckon?

The only down side of losing Nathan Ake is valuble cover but it is going to be interesting to find out who we are going to bring in.

Interestingly, it’s being rumoured that Koulibaly is on his way there now as well. Is Ake going there to be back up like he is here?

Maybe he has some form of connection to the Chavs that he doesn’t have here given his history that he’d steer to over more chance of trophies.

I like Ake but I think we will have robbed them for £50m+. People forget he's been quite poor for a season and a half and only really looked good for a few months (where he got injured again). Very injury prone and often had a goal costing mistake in him

Take the money, get someone else and cucurella and call it a summer

Shame was looking good the end of last season hope he does well.

Now time to see who we go for obviously either the lad at leipzig or kounde would be for me but city already know who they are going to get

I'd like to think so. Maybe £50m plus add ons, but we are not interested beyond next week.
If he's on the plane to the US and we agree a fee while there we'll finally get to say we've paid to transport a player to a new club since Chelsea is also in the States.

Probably won't happen but if we got 50 or 55 million for Ake, Koundes release clause is 65 million pounds. Can play as an orthodox right back and centre back wants to leave Sevilla as well

Shame if he's off but at least by the sounds of it we've put a deadline on it.
Chelsea would drag this out as long as possible to delay us getting our replacement in (see Raz)
I know it's a long transfer window but the sooner replacements join up with the squad and get playing time the better.

Shame he was just starting to be “Pep” player last season! Think 50m+ is a fair fee he did have some injury problems when we needed him the most!!

The club have known Sterling was leaving long back, Chelsea gave him his medical on Friday(?) and already apparently agreed personal terms. That's hardly dragging it out, there's getting on for 2 months left in the window.

I didn't know that about Kounde. He'd be the one for me. Rapid and has the leap of a salmon, reminiscent of a young Micah.

Doubt he'll come though given competition for places.

As per reports, Tuchel prefers Koulibaly to Kounde

Barca ia always there, but don't know if they can get him, so he may not have that many takers

Not even announced Raz though yet! What is the hold up on that one do you think?
