I’d have loved to see if it got reviewed and given, but we will never know as we scored. Complete joke in the var room already. On page 58, Blueknows has put a video.

Don’t get that logic. We could give 20 min run ours with more games and end up better off. Also I think we peaked a bit early last year and in the business end where cup semis and key league games come up look not quite on it. I’m spoiled tho!
great save by Adrian.......whats that? van Dick?................well I never

It doesn’t hit anything before his arm? With the rules the way they currently are this isn’t a penalty (because the ball ‘deflects’ off another part of his body before hitting his arm).
You could double handed punch the ball out as long as it deflects off your thigh first…. It’s one of the weirder rules and referees don’t seem to be able to look at each incident individually.
Fishing for England or clinically insane? Either way, glorious stuff!Let’s be honest, on a one to one basis the scousers will beat us 9 times out of 10. They have more belief and more desire. Man for man our team is better but I can’t ever see us getting any better against them. We’re clearly scared and in awe of them. They run us ragged. And anyone who doesn’t see that is deluded. Ignore all this pre season bullshit excuses, as a team their spirit is far better than ours.
It does, watch it again. He kind of heads it into his arm.It doesn’t hit anything before his arm?
??Grow up.
No, not in my opinion. Looks direct to his hand and I’ve rewatched it plenty. Maybe there would have been a different angle for var to watch? It does, watch it again. He kind of heads it into his arm.
he'll see our team spirit come next May.Weirdo
Haarland is gonna score goals. No need to compare the total goals but the ones he scores against CL contenders.Seems some have a tendency to over react completely after yesterday
Lets just remember that this was only our 3rd pre-season game with many players not even featuring in the States
Haaland first 90mins after not even training normally
I think some people - especially those lambasting Haaland are going to end up with egg on their face
I’m getting the distinct feeling certain people are already setting Haaland up as this years new whipping boy. When they’re not slagging Jack off obviously.
There will be some very frustrated ‘City fans’ disappearing from here come May. Like there has been for four of the last five seasons.
‘Twas ever thus.
You don’t seem to post much but when you do, wow. That’s a dooseyLet’s be honest, on a one to one basis the scousers will beat us 9 times out of 10. They have more belief and more desire. Current handball law so still don’t see why it was a pen.
It is an offence if a player:
- deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball
- touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised
The media are certainly doing their bit. Ronay, Jackson, Ogden, all the usual fuckers are plugging the square peg, round hole narrative this morning
Thought Bernardo was much better after Kev went off and Gundog played the deep role allowing Bernardo to get further forward. Agree with you though, the passing of the whole midfield was really off yesterday. Rodri had his passes intercepted over and over again. Our midfield was the biggest problem yesterday, poor passing and looking lost that we actually had a striker in the side, they didn't seem to know what to do.
Kev was awful, that shot in to the side netting summed his performance up, Bernardo absolutely invisible, Grealish nothing different from last season, Mahrez, very poor, and Rodri looking totally unfit.
We will have to get used to having Haaland in this side asap, the midfield is key
Not only would it not, it didn’t. Manchester 33’s post on the previous page, handball by van Dyck glossed over. Now if that’s a natural position, or whatever the fkn wording is this week.Would VAR match the pen decision were it up the other end and it had hit Virgil on the elbow? Very much doubt it!
