If true Chelsea will gazump us and pay for what Brighton . End of the day we can say we have stuck to our guns and walked away which will probably get a pat on the back and well done for about 10 mins then we realise we are screwed because we haven’t got a left back and the season is starting . Ridiculous decision to even think about letting a left back go without having one come in never mind actually selling one . We have had a great window which could be undone with one bad decision .

Zinchenko averaged 12 starts (out of 60) per season despite us regularly having zero other left back options during that time. We also previously accepted two bids for him.
He’s an ok AM (though not good enough to play there for us) and a passable left back. He’s nowhere near as fast, creative or positionally aware as Cucurella. City started talks with Cucurella before Zinchenko to Arsenal was ever dreamt up. It’s part of the reason why Zinchenko finally knew his number was up and that he wasn’t going to make the LB slot his own at City.
Man City can walk away proud, knowing that they didn't back down to the evil Bloom and celebrate this win...whilst still having the same squad issues.
In all seriousness I would much prefer getting Colwill so this is perfect, RAN is decent and no idea about the Sosa fella so if this ends with Cucu at Chelsea, good luck on your left back and it's been fun in this thread :D

Of course he will if we won't improve our bid and Brighton accept Chelsea's. CL football, ambitious team, good salary.
We will find out mate because if we won’t pay anymore he isn’t coming to us anyway so he needs to get it out of his system .

Yep at the end of the day, if Player himself didn't want to move to Chelsea then there's nothing they can do about it.
Like De Jong case, both club agree but the player itself refuse to move for whatever reason.
All about money, he is not worried about who he plays for as long as they pay him and his agent well.

Cant see him turning down a champoins league club though and a nice pay rise.
If anything it shows Chelsea rate him higher than we do, he will still get champions league football and will play lcb and cover chillwell. Why wouldn’t he go there?
