No probably not and if you are in a position where you would prefer not to sell and with 4 years left on the contract why should you.

Even the most highly rated players can flop so buying replacements is always a risky business, so Im not surprised Bloom added a ‘tax’ to the valuation. Our near neighbours are an example of that and Spurs totally wasted the Bale money on the likes of Soldado etc.

Because they hinted at a £35m valuation early on then when we bid that they upped it to £50m, then the last 48hrs that’s become over £50m. They are trying it on, a bunch of chancers nothing more.

Have they ever given any number, let alone £35m? And if we go back in, they've got an auction between two PL big spenders which they'll love.

Negotiation is one thing, but you've got to be able to see there's a price that will work for everyone. We appear to have wasted several weeks chasing a target we were never going to get in the one position we absolutely had to strengthen even before we sold Zinchenko.
