Michael Knighton. Amazing stuff. They really are the gift that never stops giving these days. Their obsession with the past is laughable
Well if your buying City I am declaring here and now I am putting a consortium together to buy the rags.“Declared his intent to hold talks with investors”
Translate that into normal language
He has made his mind up to ask somebody else if they will spend their money on this. Not had talks. Not an organised group
Utterly meaningless. That Howson bloke could say this being completely truthful.
So could I. In fact I’ll do it now
Ahem
I’ve decided I’m going to ask my best mate if he can lend me the money to buy City off the Sheik when I see him next
There
Shame those tourists only turn up on Thursdays and happen to support Europa league clubs.Yes, this an actual post on sad cafe
Yeah because that's a good description of the current situation.
Let me educate you: the Government isn't just one man in a room making decisions, there's such thing as a minister for sport who's responsibility is ensuring the best conditions for sport within the country. Our leading sport is Football... our biggest team is MUFC. It's not lunacy to suggest it would be of interest (and would be proper) for the Government to step in and correct the issue.
Not to mention MUFC is a major tourism draw and a national institution with endless historical significance.
Leave @mat out of this :-)I had to laugh when I saw the Glazers at the swamp on Sunday. Normally many billionaires have an air style and sophistication tinged with a nice suit.
Them lot looked like a couple of half pissed train drivers plucked from a picket line.
Apologies to any stroke sufferers but...has just had a stroke.I wonder how this ****'s arteries will hold up when they inevitably fail to qualify for European football next season?

Feels liberating doesn’t it. What else should we buy?Well if your buying City I am declaring here and now I am putting a consortium together to buy the rags.
And then close them down and turn the swamp into a car park.
There are some fair enough criticisms of the Glazers, but for so many United fans it boils down to: we should be winning everything like in the 90s. They can't figure out that the reason everyone still enjoys this is because their "bad" years consist of, what, a few fifth place finishes and a cup or two? Most football fans can only dream of that and they're out here shitting themselves in public. What they meant to say was… “This is not the rag team we signed up to support when we were winning everything”

Fantastic owner, shows he’s dedicated to the cause.I had to laugh when I saw the Glazers at the swamp on Sunday. Normally many billionaires have an air of style and sophistication tinged with a nice suit.

He's the cause of all their woes :)Fanatic owner, shows he’s dedicated to the cause.
You never see Sheikh Mansour at the Etihad.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with that.Obviously he hasn't got the cash himself but he talks of getting Sir Jim Ratcliffe on board and he most certainly can afford it. Doesn't mean the Glazers will sell though!
Fair enough - I saw a figure of around £21bn but also another which states $12bnI wouldn't necessarily agree with that.
I believe he's worth about £8bn, so unless he's prepared to blow what would realistically need to be half his entire wealth on buying and then investing in every aspect of the club, which seems pretty unlikely, then he can't really afford it.
