He said he had one jab (which might have been enough in January) and before he got the booster he caught covid in June and has to wait several weeks before he can be boostered (maybe during the next intl break?).

Anyway, great captain, top bloke, smart with strong media competence. His calmness, focus and experience when to do what could influence the squad even more.

Btw, his movement pre goal at West Ham looked like Sergio in his best days, top striker's ball processing.

Being serious you would think Kev would be an obvious choice but maybe Pep thought it might affect his game which seems to have gone up a level already. I'm good with Gundog, he's probably well respected by the lads.

I'm pretty sure Pep introduced it at the start of the 2019-20 season following Vincent K's retirement. While Vinnie was still around, there were never any questions asked about who should or shouldn't be first choice as captain.

After watching the champions again episodes, i was convinced this would be Ruben. He is so intense in the changing room, constantly barking orders on training ground, pre game and during games. But Gundo has been here a long time and i think his communication style is really good, calmness is needed for our style. Great choice.

That makes sense. Obviously no questions about Vinny. Those to have succeeded him will have needed even more-so to be a popular choice with the team, precisely down to Vinny and his impact.
 
First name on the team sheet for me now, well second, no bench for Gundo, lets have players playing who want to play.
